I don't understand why people complain about the berserker armor, if anything it has made the fights more tense. It is obvious that guts is gonna fuck up some way and hurt someone close to him, it has been foreshadowed like hell. It has also given serpico more material for character development. Yeah but it means that when Guts gets wounded (like against Grunbeld), Berserker armor can save the day. And when Guts uses it, you rarely get to see him struggle like he did before (I think we saw it during the Sea God and that's it)

Justice and empathy aren't only about practical benefits. A lot of people would want to fuck him up for what he did. Just like in the real world, people want to boycott and sue companies for unethical practices even though they benefit them.
