First off, in order to activate it, Avenger himself must get hurt. And then, only then, can he activate it, and copy the pain from that damage to his opponent. And it's pointless if it's only light pain. No, it has to hurt REAL bad, hurt like it bitch. It has to hurt so bad that even a hero, who would normally be used to pain, would keel over from the sheer intensity of it. Because that's the only kind of pain that would give any Heroic Spirit any manner of pause. And in order for such immense pain to manifest, Avenger himself must take an appropriate amount of damage to generate that level of pain himself. And he must stay alive. And he must stay conscious. And then, and ONLY then, can he activate Verg Avesta and copy/paste that pain onto his opponent. It's only copying, so he doesn't lose that pain when he transfers it. And it's ONLY pain, so he's not transferring any of the damage itself.

In a one-on-one fight it's completely worthless because it doesn't even level the playing field. Yes, both players are feeling the same amount of pain, but only one of them is actually damaged. So while Avenger is on the verge of death and bleeding all over the fucking place, his opponent is only feeling the simulated pain, but is otherwise perfectly fine. And if Avenger's still able to fight, then so's the opponent.

So no, it's not a "non-shitty NP". It's a terrible fucking NP that was ONLY useful because Bazett was there and was actually just happened to have the skillset and a Noble Phantasm that just so conveniently happened to be capable of taking advantage of it.

For someone form Omega World, Touma's actions wouldn't be any different form Othinus' actions seen by Touma. There was no punching, no Talk no Jutsu, just MC understanding antagonist and wishing her good luck as she was the winner of their fight.

On top of that, Othinus doesn't suddenly try to suck his dick in NT10 - while it's obvious that he is very important to her, the only hint that her feelings for him might be more than just platonic is very subtle.
