I like Netero. He's probably one of the most badass old people in manga (even above Roshi and Genkai), but Meruem is a piping hot young buck, ready to take on the world. Pitou would be more of a good match up.

That was even when Pitou had no idea how Netero's abilities work. She got caught offguard. I believe if the fight continued, Netero would win, but only at a heavy cost. He won't be confronting Meruem half dead, unlike how he is now.

Netero would easily beat it through a battle of attrition as I see absolutely no way it could even touch Netero's speed.

I can't see Cell dying by the cliche old guy in anime/manga. He'll probably be used to strengthen the resolves of Gon and Killua for the final showdown.

I never said she wasn't sent flying. But then she stopped it with her doctor ability, and floated gracefully down like a cat without any sign of damage.

Who knows if Netero can escape Meruem or if Meruem lets him live maybe they can have a rematch.

Pitou's sex hasn't been confirmed, but part of me knows she is a girl.
