Well what Fate has done is sorta what Citizen Kane has done which was redefined what VNs (Movies) could really do, comparing this to other mainstream oldies like Higurashi, Ever 17, or even those of the floppy disc era. This is why you should read the VN before shitposting about it. Projecting the weapons also projects the experience, skill, strength of the original wielder. This is very clearly stated in Fate and Prisma Illya, and the reason Shirou was able to do Nine Lives and why Archer weapons of choice are KB, which had no original wielders. I enjoyed it.

I've only played a few VNs, but I loved playing FSN. Besides the story, the music, voice acting, and animations, really made it an enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to replaying it again someday in the future.

If the fight wasn't so heavily set in Herakles' favor before it even began, I think Archer MIGHT have been able to kill Herakles. Or at least, take a few more lives. I'm sure lancer would win, he already faced assassin offscreen in the VN after Kotomine ordered him to fight all the servants, and Gae Bolg > Tsubame Gaeshi, if it came down to it, but it would be a pretty even match up to that point. both have long weapons to match the range, a lance is probably better suited for fighting it but assassin uses the sword as if it's not unwieldy at all. Lancer does have amazing dash speed so its possible he dodges Tsubame Gaeshi even without relying on Gae Bolg to kill Assassin before it goes off. I'm guessing Lancer didn't fight with Assassin for very long since he revealed his name very early to Saber, so I'm guessing Lancer would have got the information he wanted from him and probably didn't want to pressure Assassin into using TG otherwise he might have to use GB.

Overall I'm pretty sure Lancer wins even without Gae Bolg, even if he takes a couple of glancing hits from Tsubame Gaeshi his battle continuation should get him through.

Versus True Assassin, Lancer wins if the shadow isn't there, but dies after if he gets his heart stolen by Zabiniya. If he can kill Kirei with his heart stuck by Gae Bolg, he should be able to kill True Assassin, who's honestly weaker than Kirei aside from his NP. In HF, Lancer only got hit by Zabiniya because he couldn't really fight TA because his path was blocked by the shadow and they were fighting over a lake so he couldn't dash around. On different ground he should kill TA without getting Zabiniya'd

It's been way too long so I don't remember if it was in the VN, but in the anime Lancer says he'd rather not have to fight Sasaki. He doesn't say he'd get stomped, all we get is that it'd be difficult.

Personally, I don't see how Assassin could possibly win. Even with his bullshit level of skill, Lancer is still the fastest/most agile Servant. Nothing Sasaki can do could stop Lancer from rushing back and hurling GB at him. And nothing Sasaki can do could survive that shit. Even an overcharged specifically anti-thrown weapon NP shield could barely stop it.

In my opinion: They clash a bit with Lancer using that perfect defense to survive, Lancer throws GB at him eventually, and Assasin dies horribly. Fin. He can't cut GB out of the air with TG or anything.
