Sunrise makes a lot of kids shows that aren't really expected to do well on BD through the BNP wing which I'm sure clever anons will want to point to as flops. Whatever brands Sunrise came up with on their own belong to Sunrise otherwise everything else kind of seems to have been shifted out to BNP. Sunrise is weird in that it's kind of a semi-autonomous studio within the framework of Bandai Visual which itself is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings.

One thing that surprises me right now or perhaps not is how decently the Zegapain 10th anniversary re-release seems to be doing in preorders cause I never remember it doing much before when it actually aired. Maybe that's more just other new anime doing absolutely terribly though so it just looks solid by comparison.

Gundam is doing fine. People just forget about the splendor that is Origin and Thunderbolt and frankly for an Okada supervised series (and she only wrote a few episodes anyway while the rest of them were given to more established genre people cause fuck me if Okada could ever write about space politics and sci-fi combat stuff) really isn't that bad. Plus they've also got Nagai there too who is the only director I'm aware of that has just been known to say no too her terrible ideas and there's no way Bandai and Sunrise producers are going to budge on ideas they don't like either. She's out of her league in this instance for getting too call too many shots.
