The difference is that Umaru does feel bad and indeed apologizes from time to time. She's not really tsun as she does want his onii-chan to be happy but she usually tries to do it by sharing the things she likes with him. Until Ebina told her that it would be good if she put some effort on understanding the things he likes which she did.

Umaru is bratty and lazy but is undeniably a good girl at heart.
