I can not stand that movie. The pacing is atrocious. And don't start with that BUT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A TV SERIES bullshit. If you're going to turn it into a movie, then rework it so it makes sense as a movie. Don't rush through all the main points and then blame it on production problems. It's not like you can't follow the plot, but slow it the fuck down.

F91 is good for it's MS designs, but that's it.

Victory is a little hard to get used to at first but it's personally my favorite Gundam. It's depressed Tomino at his finest so shit gets weird for a Gundam entry. Daitarn is more in the vein of Zambot, it's fun. Dunbine is kind of mediocre from an "objective" point of view (all of his Byston Well shows are, in my opinion) but I found things to like. Didn't keep me incredibly engaged but I was glad I watched it.

They're three totally different kinds of Tomino. I'd say Victory can wait if you don't want to watch Gundam at the moment.

I'm not going to argue that Ideon is a masterpiece because it has a lot of flaws that are hard to overlook like the ones you listed but it is still well written and it's mood,characters and themes and the way they mesh together make it stand out from a lot of other shows.
Be Invoked has faster pacing,better animation and music and provides a conclusion so you could say it provides a more satisfying aesthetic experience but I don't think that this should be the leading criterion.
In every single way Be Invoked it a logical continuation to and is effectively a part of the series.The series provides a very good and important build up to the movie.Even though its repetitiveness is a set back it never breaks the tone and flow of the story.
What makes you think you have any right to say that Ideon is a "meme" while also claiming that Be invoked is a "great" movie?
