FF pretty stole xenogear's potential. It odiously have better concept than most ff, but sadly it suffered a huge story cut in disc 2

I'd say so too, since they did took a very heavy concept and turn it somewhat understand able enough without being too convoluted. I recommend you read the art books since it detail out so much. A anime would have been next to Logh's greatness if they play their card well.

let's not forget chrono cross too since story telling is very similar. But Chrono cross take more into the idea of fate and destiny rather than existential and religion.

I'd call it a masterpiece even with it's cringy dubbing. If there was a fan funding thing like a lot of mmos are doing nowadays, I'd contribute to a well made Xenogears anime. Especially for teen Emeraldas' midriff
