The fanservice is minimal but the girls were cute and the comedy was lighthearted that along with a story didn't stayed in an eternal highschool limbo but moved the characters nto adulthood without losing the lighthearted tone of the show.

In Japan the very least people still care. The show was rebrocasted on Disney Channel a few years ago and TBS had a 24 hours marathon this year along with comments from the seiyu and the original production staff and a twitter contest to win original posters.
