It's been 5 years.
Would you say Madoka holds up today? How did an anime that got so huge influence the industry today, and other anime/manga?

Still better than anything else from the last 5 years.

Did you forget about like, everything Studio Trigger has done since then?

It definitely left an impact after it finished but I don't think it holds up as well on a later rewatch. A lot of its initial popularity was due to shock factor and seeing if it would end as a trainwreck. And even though it didn't really say anything new, I do think the last three episodes are what kept it from being mediocre and forgettable. Those are the only ones I'd say still hold up.

I think the art and music at least makes it worth remembering. If nothing else the witches will introduce viewers to Eastern European animation. It's definitely a good post-Big Three intro anime to see what else them crazy nips can do.

This.
Madoka is still AOTD.

>Eastern European
Is this a meme or something?

Inu Curry have said their artwork is based on Eastern European animation.

Guys, I have a confession, I do not understand Rebellion. At all.

Don't worry.
There is nothing to understand.
Its just flashy fanservice pandering. There is no substance.

I think it holds up well on a rewatch. It gives you a new perspective on characters, people who I initially liked I liked less, and those who I initially disliked, I liked more. Mami especially is much less likable on a rewatch.
