If you're planning on drawing strictly digital, then just start with digital. I personally like traditional better since it's cheaper material-wise, so you don't have to invest a lot of money into something you might not have the willpower to continue, and I think paper sketches are appealing.

"6th mastery" Cirno looks like shit, for instance, and I don't even hate 2.5D. Progression isn't always linear towards more appealing art. At some point you have to make decisions about where to go and not just keep drawing whatever.

I'm trying to learn just cause I have quite a bit of free time currently & It's getting to the point where I'd prefer to do something constructive rather than just playing games, so I'm thinking of taking up drawing as a hobby, I always liked drawing stuff as a kid/early teens but it just kind of dropped off somewhere along the line.

In terms of goals, I'd be happy just to be able to do half decent requests for people. ^^
