It actually works pretty well, instead of looking for a lost village, they search for a lost island, which turns out to be in the bermuda triangle.

In the end, it turns out they all died when the Titanic hit the iceberg and the island was a dream they had before drowning. The same as Mayoiga, where they died when the bus almost crashed.

Everyone enjoys a memorable dinner in candlelight, rendered bittersweet by the cold weather, the belongings that went down with the ship and by the inevitable change in their plans caused by the sinking.
Akari spends a sleepless night doting over the boats and their passengers, making sure everyone is a comfy as possible in the rainy night, and keeping the boats close together.
The following morning finds the hands and passengers wet but in good health. A ship, responding to Titanic's distress call, picks up everyone and ferries them to safety.
