I used to watch any anime if you told me there was at least one sex scene in it. Hell, even if you told me it's literally one implied sex scene that you'll miss if you blink.

Watched sailor moon as a kid cause a friend told me in japan they aren't covered in sparkles when they transform.

I kept hoping eventually they editors would miss one episode.

Read a Warhammer 40k crossover fic with Fate/Stay Night. It was called Property Damage.

From there, I got into Fate/Stay Night, which was a gateway to anime/manga in general for me.
