She's a stack of archetypes. She's not new. She's just a prop in most cases. It'll take a great deal to salvage her, but she is on the surface more likable than Aqua.

Or perhaps she does and she just tries really hard, and gets hurt each time she fails and gets scolded. Maybe her holing up back home is just her trying to cope. Maybe she fucks up, and takes shortcuts, because she is really just human, in personality if not in power. Maybe she will open up about it one day and we will see some actual depth and character development. Maybe I'm just dreaming dreams that will never come true, but one can hope.

Araragi. Because those descriptors are exceedingly vague and ultimately just single data-point labels. Except Araragi is genuinely interesting as a character, but Darkness has yet to progress beyond the assignments and limitations of those labels. It's not impossible for that to change, but I see nothing new right now, and her arch just finished.

Dorkness was annoying at first but she grew on me. Matter of fact all of the characters were annoying as hell, but I got used to them and started liking them as much as Kazuma did.

Except that at some point, the story has to move beyond just shenanigans for it to progress, and it has to some degree. The only one who stands out right now is Megumin since she does grow up, has good intentions and some brains.

Megumin is overrated as fuck. Aqua, Lalatina and Wiz are all better.

Have you gotten to the part where she hands her adventurer card over to Kazuma and asks him to skill high level magic for her because she knows it's the right thing to do, but couldn't really bring herself to? Or perhaps the part where she willingly take the fall to cover for his mistakes?

As a practical matter though, the party is not a typical adventuring party. There are a lot of those around, and being typical is the same as being useless against actual mid-bosses. Explosion has value if only because it does more damage than would otherwise be possible.
