Most of the anime I'm watching are old and recent anime shows, like Lovely Complex; Nisekoi; Yahari; Wolf Girl & Black Prince and ToraDora.

I'm more of a reader than a watcher in these years, honestly.

I heard Yahari is witty and very sarcastic about the rom-com genre, though.
I'll check those out before dropping those instantly.

I like very few kind of anime to begin with, so I rarely watch them unless they interest me like OPM or Golgo(is in my list).
I passed to manga because you have more options and range of stories (granted, garbage and formulatic stuff are also there, but as well goodies).

Pick up the series that are sure to be good from the very start. For other shows,wait for some episodes and check out the threads.

I've always considered Yahari a hit or miss, in the sense that some people love it, while some hate it.

It definitely takes a genre turn in S2, going from the main character being an edgelord, to the show being about the drama rather than the comedy.

OPM is fine, it's nicely animated and there are some nice scenes in there as well, the premise is the biggest flaw of the series, it gets tiring after a while, and the humor is in my opinion sub par. Not to mention that the fanbase consists of normalfags, for some reason I can't comprehend.

But yeah, Manga is definitely the superior format if you want consistent quality.

OPM entertained me with its humor and the premise, but I wouldn't be surprised if a 2nd season or the latest manga volumes became bad or lukewarm, if the cards aren't played well.
People and normies like superhero stories, so their presence make sense in the fanbase.

Manga has their shitty series and quality drops of legendary fame, but I'm aware of it and the variety of stories and target demographics.
