Okay, Berry, Kiwi and Choco definitely deserve figures,too. What's 1/7 mean? How's Yugi going to use these cards? we know 5 out of 6 of thems effects and so far, I'm struggling to figure out how to use them all. They seem pretty lacking considering you need your opponent to attack the right monster, there's consistant way to force that battle right now, their effects activate mainly in the battle phase, cards like Dark Magician of Chaos and Magician's Valkyria don't exactly mesh with them very well, and due to their off set in levels, xyz and synchro summons are impossible to work into them.

They need hand advantage badly, like their own pendulum call, without a discard effect.

They don't have to be meta good like Blue Eyes but they should at least have some kinda gameplan, even Yugi's other cards have a method to their madness, these just seem directionless.

Either this is a badly made deck or it seems like the magician girl archetype focuses on swarming all of them to the field, then using kiwi from the hand, figures that the one with the level too high to summon without a tribute would be discard fodder along with it's senpai, for a terrible attack boost and backrow stun. I suppose we'll know for sure once Choco's effect is revealed next month. I sure hope it's her and Kiwi who get figures next and Berry doesn't get one, it's too young for what most people plan on doing to those figures.

Is Dark Magician Girl even worth using in the new Dark Magician support? I swear Kaiba can easily shit out both his synchros and Yugi can shot out both Ebon xyz without Dark magician's student clogging up space. What a shame, Konami fucked up completely. Then there's the mediocrity of Gandora X vs Gandora original, Why do people want retrained Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman again?

DMOC has good synergy with Ebon Void Magician. You can use a quick-play spell and then get it back in the end-phase to use with Ebon Void on the opponent's turn. DMG doesn't but hopefully she has a retrain. 33 cards left in movie pack + structure deck so I'm still hoping.

Selena victory over Yugo? Only failing here was overestimating selena and underestimating yugo.

And when capturing dennis? Roger made sure to restrict the council beforehand so most everyone is under his control. His only failing was not expecting sora who he then tries to capture by tailing yuya to his location.

Trying to capture selena when she's alone and offguard? went off without a hitch if not for the unexpected result of reira being able to overpower three security members at once.

unfortunately the gameplan is hold out until you can swarm for an otk.
Magicians Circle for the special summons from the deck, and then a special summon chain from the hand into DMG. DItch Kiwi for the gains and use dark magic to raigeki your opponent.
Apple into Lemon into DMG to cut your oppemnts monsters attack into 4ths and make them slam into DMG
Unfortunately that is it. Unless Choco has some effect that forces battle, specials from deck without needing to be attacked, or fucks up your opponents backrow the deck isn't doing much.
They could get some S/T support too that may help, but DMG really needs an errata that includes the new support in her effect. It will never be good, but I'm making it anyways.

I'm still messing around with things every now and then, I really need to have choco though so I have a better grasp on things. I have Dark Magician at 2 at the moment.
And can't the deck already use Magi Magi? you can special summon DMG enough, and apple can pick her back up from the grave if you need it. I really wish apple said sent to grave instead of destroyed by battle.

It can if you're running 2 Dark Magician Girls, but where's the fun in that? A retrain that could actually do stuff and also keep the Dark Magician Girl name would be very helpful.

With the reveal (and eventual release) of the three manga Odd-Eyes monsters (Phantom, Persona and Mirage) it seems that Odd-Eyes could become a standalone archetype that doesn't require as much assistance from the Magicians and Performapals.

Case in point, Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon's effects rely on having Odd-Eyes cards as scales (Pendulum effect requires another Odd-Eyes scale, while monster effect is maximised by both scales being Odd-Eyes), while Persona and Mirage allow for recycling Odd-Eyes scales (and the latter allowing 1-time protection against destruction for any Odd-Eyes monster).

This means that the scales generally won't be occupied by Magicians, reducing the effectiveness of cards like Wisdom-Eye Magician and Pendulum Call. This in turn would slow the deck down a bit.

So, what would an effective more Odd-Eyes-centric deck look like in terms of non Odd-Eyes cards that still maintain consistency and speed?

Yuya's deck was a fucking mess from the start.
Entermates not supporting odd-eyes and that job fell to the magicians.
Then Yuya shat out 5 new entermates every month and they started to support odd-eys but no way for them to really stand their own.

Speaking of not standing on their own are the magicians who need to rely on odd-eyes for boss monsters except for pendulum into rank 7.

The last thing we want is Odd-eyes trying to be on his own.
