The anime was OK if we compare it with the LN, it was SL who shitted on some important parts like Raikiri's background cutting one entire chapter of volume 3, or the way how Ayase's arc ends that was a huge mess.

Yeah I agree the first 3 volumes of Rakudai hare average but since the end of volume 3 the LN improves a lot, to the point you're going to be hyped after reading volume 4. Can't wait to see volume 9 translated and the scene of Ikki having sex with Stella.

I'm thankful for the anime, because it got me into the manga, which got me into the LN.

It's also refreshing to see a pseudo-harem show with an MC and love interest that aren't constantly embarassed by being in the same room, let alone accidentally touching each other. I do enjoy how the ED has that corny late-90s feel to it as well.

It was alright, I liked Ikki though his character was pretty entertaining to watch, Stella is below average and just drags him down.

If losing in the tournament even once means that you are out and you always fight against a person with same number of wins as you (just like the main part of Tenkaichi Budoukai in DB), to have 6 people with 19 wins, you need 6*2^19 participants, which is exactly 3145728 brats.

You've seen his actual ability and he was matched against the top.
There should've been a losers bracket or something then they could use it as an excuse to put Shizoku and Tohka back instead of those two, but I guess it's not interesting because she already fought the MC once. Nobody cares about the actual chances of wining the tournament.

I'm no fan of Silver Link but I find it hilarious that A-1 with all its money, hype and advertising for Asterisk including announcing it at a Western convention pretty much lost out completely to this show by just about any measure and is now locked in to another season which is probably going to feature their lowest effort ever as a result.

Some of the fights were good as well as the music but all of a sudden they threw Ikki in jail for kissing Stella and making him suffer because he's supposed to be weak and he's showing up his father. Then the president gets defeated in one attack.

It was a solid adaption, anyone bitching about differences can't even read the original in Japanese anyway. The terrible grammar in this thread tells exactly who reads those butchered translations.

Whole episode was pretty fucking underwhelming and the fight was beyond anticlimactic. Playing Todo up that big and then ending her in one strike. So much for all her cool powers. Guess she just decided to trash all of them for no reason and went for a barbarian clash so Ikki could look even cooler. What a champ.

Best fight was probably Shizuku and Todo. Shame nothing else managed to match that.

Touka isn't that good. They hyped her too much in the anime (the Shizuku fight was great, but the golem fight was retarded). She's got a sure-kill move that gives her an overwhelming advantage, that's all (and enough to make her strong as hell).
She's also retarded. She could have zapped Ikki from a distance, but she's too prideful for this and used her close range technique against a guy whose only strenght is close range and studying other people's techniques.

5/10. Not shit but not good either. Barely decent, got boggled down by unnecessary super serious drama in the last arc. The thing I enjoyed most was the action that warrants a bit of praising, although there was only like 3-4 fights that were good because the studio decided to blow budget on it. Only liked two fights and Sharkboy. The rest was absolute garbage. Horrible characterization, no semblance of any kind of storyline other than he's the worst one and he has to defeat everyone to prove how amazing he is, no character development in any way, but then again, probably my own fault for expecting that out of a battle not actually a harem LN.

I really can't emphasize enogh how much I hated the "worst one" special snowflake storyline. That was easily the biggest reason why I disliked the series.
