>wasting talented animators to produce moeblobs about cute girls doing cute things
Can we finally agree that Kyoani is the main reason why anime is so shit nowadays?
>Meanwhile, at KyoAni headquarters in Kyoto, Japan...
At least based Shaft is actually finishing their two biggest hits instead of just kinda forgetting about them.
There are more than enough talented animators out there, it's not like KyoAni is depriving the industry of anything.
the problem is more a matter of lack of time/money for them to produce at that level
Kyoani animation isn't even particularly outstanding
a lot of their "pretty" moments are just a regular scene with a glaring filter slapped on it and you have to remember that outside of those the majority of episodes are low-detail moeblobs like >>134111638
Don't you mean you're the reason anime is so shit nowadays? Instead of funding things you like, you are spending your time browsing /a/ and complaining about things you don't even know anything about
>Also woulda helped if they hadn't pissed off the fans with KYON-KUN DENWA.
If that was the case then there wouldn't be Yuki-chan anime. The only problem is the author being NEET, nothing to do with Kyoani.
It's okay anon. You don't need to their agreement for things like this. /a/ are self declared war veteran watching anime to forget the harshness of war or that's what people usually say. I agree with you that they are wasting talents doing anime that always contain cute girls doing cute things. The thing here is anon. It's not that they don't want to do anything else, it's that they can't do anything else. They are afraid of the backlash that they might get for doing something different. That's how weak willed they are right now.
You don't understand, those types of shows are the ONLY thing Kyoani can animate. They specialise in Moeshit and nothing else. That's why the show with megane that had a red sword was so shit.
Disappearance will forever remain their best work.
If you want to complain something about KyoAni, then it's going from top tier adaptations of various works about once a year to churning out half-assed inbred LN adaptations three times a year.
OP is just a dumb Kyoto Animation fanboy pretending to be a hater and responding to his own posts, because that's how bored he is.
In other news, water has been proven to be wet, and fire burns.
You do realise the reason KyoAni produces such high quality animation every season is because their animators love their jobs, right? They get treated amazing, especially compared to other studios, and they're all working on shows they enjoy, which is why you see a relatively narrow variety genres come out of the studio. For example Free! was *technically* a sports anime, but the actual sport involved had virtually nothing to do with the plot or characters, it was entirely replacable with another central idea.
>relatively narrow variety genres
I'm not seeing that. KyoAni has a lot of different shit going on. Just from their recent stuff
Hibike is sort of an actual, more serious high school drama but more or less, a coming of age story. Amagi was comedy with some fiction.
KnK had action, "character" drama and a little folklore. Tamako was literally a slice of life while the movie was a straight forward coming of age and romance story. Free was sports I guess and Chuuni was also comedy with something something shit tier drama, that raped itself during the second season.
All in all similarities but they do have variety. It's just not a complete 90 degrees turn around every time.
Do not forget.
If something good happens, praise based kyoani.
If something bad happens, blame the source material's author.
It's easy to learn.
>muh faithfulness to the source
Gatoh approved all those changes. Sourcefags BTFO
>people still tell me that kyoani draws in a very different styles
>he doesn't want to see Shouko and Ueno yuribait
You don't know how Kyoani improves the source materials?
Reminder that KyoAni:
>pays by the hour
>has talented staff
>consistently produces high quality works
>has one of the best work environments in the industry / treats their workers exceptionally well
>has an in-house animation school to bring up talent
If you hate KyoAni you hate the anime industry and don't want it to improve.
>There are people ITT replying without sage
Why is this allowed?
>KAN WII FAINALI AGRHI DAT KYOANI IZ DA MEIN REZON WAI ANIMU IZO SHIET NAWADEIZ???
>mfw Chuu2 is my favourite anime after Space Runaway Ideon
People can like different things man
K-ON is a weird case of a definitively progressing SoL, eventually ending at graduation accompanied with a huge emotional payoff. Looking at it that way, you can say that it's more similar to Aria than other CGDCT shows.
NNB didn't go all the way and opted for an interquel instead, and Yuru Yuri explicitly said that the girls 'doesn't age'.
As someone who dislikes moeblob shit greatly I must say kyoani is pretty good lately. The K-On times where they used moeblob shit with some gimmick is over. The gimmick doesn't exist anymore and evolved to the very substance of the anime they make.
>K-ON is a weird case of a definitively progressing SoL, eventually ending at graduation accompanied with a huge emotional payoff.
Azumanga Daiou is a weird case of a definitively progressing SoL, eventually ending at graduation accompanied with a huge emotional payoff.
>to produce moeblobs about cute girls doing cute things
High Speed will save KyoAni.
>one and a half years ago I told myself High Speed 2 would never get animated
>mfw it's a KyoAni movie directed by Takemoto
I still can't believe it's real. TYBKA for all those best boys animated.
I would say bones is the studio where most of the good animators are being wasted
That's not cute enough. Also less opportunities to get sticky substances on the boys' faces.
I like how it's gotten to the point where even the shitposters have to admit that KyoAni are the most talented and technically proficient studio in the industry and the only thing they have left is admitting that their entire argument is just "Stop making things I don't like! KyoAni should pander to my taste!"
"Moe" is the only thing that anime and manga do better than all other media. "Moe" is the primary justification for the existence of anime and manga.
They're one of them and got the ball rolling in the latter half of the prior decade by helping the most to popularize light novel and visual novel adaptations as the de facto example of what anime is to impressionable teenagers coming up on the internet. This decade Aniplex and going after the lowest common denominator braindead otaku that will empty their wallet for certain licenses is the main reason why anime is shit. They've also pretty much taken over from Kyoani in hawking KEY stuff which has pretty much been revealed as a joke to all but the most die hard KEY fans at this point.
>it's ridiculous how people act like they're the only studio capable of great animation.
Depends on your definition of "great animation." If "KyoAni-level animation" is that definition, then KyoAni is the only studio capable of great animation.
It's the same principal Urobuchi fanboys use:
>If Urobuchi writes scripts for a couple episodes of something and the whole show turns out good it's because his influence successfully rubbed off on the work and the other staff followed his templates and ideas correctly
>If Urobuchi writes a couple of scripts for a show and the show ends up floundering it's because the rest of the staff could not live up to his standards and couldn't execute his brilliant ideas and concepts properly and if only he had stayed on everything would have been great
Anime fans are dumb, prone to idolatry of certain figures and enterprises and like deluding themselves to champion and safeguard the idea that they're capable of the slightest shortcomings, news at 11.
It's because of the stupid premium BD based model that anime is very slowly transitioning out of because it's slowing down for virtually everything but Love Live now that is really only supported by the most fanatical of otaku and fujoshi collectors. Some might argue realistically it's only being supported much by women anymore. It's kind of hard to deny that lately most if not all of the best sellers have some strong element that would appeal to Fujoshi.
Not true. Although they do make stuff like Chunni, Free, and Amagi which do pander to a niche, stuff like K-on, Hibike, and Tamako are much more ubiquitously popular and really don't do a whole lot of pandering.
inb4 yuribait, yes it is there but it's not nearly as extreme as most people think it is and hasn't stopped the show from being popular among many people.
Kyoani's existence just isn't fair to other studios. Nobody can even be compared to them.
If there's something that's truly cancerous about this place, it's the abominable displays of anime elitism.
We know how great you are for hating cute girls who are doing cute things, so go away, please.
>Kyoani will never produce a work-com show
I'll give you that one
Moe SOL; just because it's not puni-plush character designs doesn't mean it's not SOL
Started out as Mado/gatari-esque supernatural suspense; turned into moe SOL
Hasn't come out yet

Takemoto has experience with horror anime, he directed, storyboarded and animated two episodes of SoulTaker.
Takemoto's horror anime almost happened.
But the studio also knows how to make sexy girls
Horror anime with only boys by Takemoto when
>Right now they are pushing High Speed.
