the 4 episodes were great. Though the glasses chick pissed me off. You have all the guys from 01 being normal and not over the top (cept Yamato and Taichi and their infinite homolust). And then you have this other character that embodies everything that is wrong with anime now. Borderline social autistic who has trouble making eye contact, Ends up following them around "on accident" and now she's one of the digidestined, even the fucking classroom scene. She doesn't even fit in this series. She's just an enormous pile of errors who ended up just getting lucky that Alphamon was warming up the ol arm cannon on her and missed a few shots.

It had so much potential to be good, but without Digimon you NEED the human characters to have that extra layer of character which none of them had outside of Koichi who was around for all of 5 minutes. It had so much potential but ended up being a failed Adventure clone. It's like they wanted it to be Adventure without all the things that made Adventure good.

I think what pissed me off most about Frontier was that in the end only two of the protags get to do anything cool. That doesn't happen in Adventure, Adventure 02, Tamers (though I suppose only the three main MCs get the ultimate form, but they're the main MCs), but in Frontiers they shaft the other protagonists who had went through their own drama.

Which is also why I hate XROS Wars. That Zenjirou guy fought with a sword made out of Digimon and that's like the most interesting use ever, but no, Taiki had to take all the Digimon away for his stupid X[x] forms. I hate it, I hate it.

Well, as usual, the idea is decent, the execution shit - the standard 02 problem. Stuff like a human villain, the morality of killing Digimon and so on are interesting topics, but you'd need to execute them with better pacing and, more importantly, an edge which Digimon just never had outside of a handful of Tamers episodes.
