You mean using tech or making tech?

There are likely many people who build power armour or cybernetic arms, but if you just want to make a living there is no reason to sign up to be a hero if that is your skill. Much like Dr Stench helps Genos but isn't personally a hero, no doubt there are other engineers out there. They just are hardware suppliers and are busy enough to not bother patrolling the streets.

Then I just answered your question. Most engineers and weapon smiths are busy being SUPPLIERS, and as such has no reason or the time to be a hero personally. Golden Ball and Spring Mustache both use "memory metal" as their choice of weaponry, but it is extremely unlikely either of them were actual producers of their own equipment. More likely there is some scientist who is a friend to both of them who get them the gear, and that is why they fight together.

Metal Knight is technically a hero, but it looks like instead of patrolling the streets, he just offer his tech to the Association for financial gain. So is he really a hero? Well, they NEED him, he keeps the organisation functioning. But one could argue he does very little actual "hero" work.

So up until now, I thought that all the lettered cities were in the same sort of country, even if it was very large. But based on these maps, that's clearly not the case. Either this continent or world itself is one large urban area, or the "cities" are actually states, or districts/counties. So you can see why the hero association is so big and why all the S-classes can't just hop over instantly, they might on the other side of the continent.

Are all the lettered cities in the same nation? You'd assume so, maybe there's only one country in the OPM world.

I remember reading (vaguely) that for Earth's rotation and orbit to be stable we had to be hit by another planet early on, in exactly the right way so that a large chunk of matter became the moon and got locked into a stable orbit with Earth, and they balance each other out. Or something along those lines. Some kind of necessary condition for Earth becoming a life-supporting world - so I'm (badly) asking how having 5 moons would relate to that?

Also interestingly enough they seem to have had their own morbid Apollo landings in OPM universe, where they made it to the moon but crash landed and presumably died there. Yet that was only one of their moons...

I want to know more about the OPM world's geography.

If you look at this shot of what I think is meant to illustrate world leaders, you'll see OPM's version of the UN logo in the middle. The UN logo shows all inhabited continents on earth, google it, it's quite nice.

OPM's UN logo shows only the one continent we've seen on this side of the planet - implying that they DO have a pangaea situation. And from what we can tell, their civilisation is united more than ours. We haven't heard anything about wars, or anything else like that. The main concern they have seems to be from monsters - or rather, maybe the existential threat of monsters unified their world? And then maybe then they renamed all the city-states we see in the map to letters, as the start of some revolution or something? Only an extreme revolutionary event to lead to such a world order.

D and B city were both destroyed by Beefcake, but if we're to believe that each city is pretty much the size of an entire country, it's impossible for Beefcake's body alone to be large enough to destroy B city by falling on it (going by the size of it on the map). So much like the capital of Mexico is Mexico City, you could say each area on the OPM map is a lettered country with a lettered capital. Z-Country isn't just one large megacity, it's mostly countryside with many small towns with one VERY LARGE city in the middle.

Going back at looking at Genos approaching Z-City in episode 01's post-cred scene, Z-City doesn't even look that big.

First time I was reading the Garou arc, he just came off as a tryhard edgy grimdark villain. Which he was, or at least a parody of it (especially apparent when he's spouting literal nonsense grimdarkness at Saitama), but after his defeat, considering what Saitama says to him afterwards, I kinda feel stupid how I missed he was only pretending to be retarded.

Like when he's about to kill the kid. At first read he just sounds threatening, but looking back on it he sounds positively desperate. "Why won't you heroes stand up? Are you giving up? Stand up already!" His most desperate is definitely when he's begging Saitama after his defeat. "You MUST have the answer I'm looking for, TELL ME!"

Garou is actually more interesting than I first gave him credit for.

Tatsumaki falls in love with a Saitama.

But, the next day, when she recounts the previous day's confessions to Saitama, he only looks at her with a perplexed expression. In fact, he doesn't exist in this universe at all. he is the Saitama's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the Tatsumaki AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each othim their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
