Nanatsu no taizai 150 is out on gook scans
I guess both RH and MS don't have their early providers anymore
I've only seen this series in passing, and oddly enough when this Pride guy is doing something.
Did he just beat some sort of big time enemy simply by letting it try to eat his soul?
Shes still alive, weve seen that demons can survive something of that and recover, after all Galan came back from being cut in half. Probably what Escanor was doing when he jumped away, to go chase her down and finish the job
No, shes still alive, demons can survive a lot of abuse and recover, but he is the first one to beat one of them himself, that stone statue was a demon, and the Pride guy (Escanor) beat hm by making him so scared he ran away and turned to stone.
CHECKED AND PRAISED THE SUN
GO GO ESCANOR
Holy shit I'm going to be so mad if Mera is done for. She barely got any fcus and even in this short arc she was playing support to Galan.
There was no need to BTFO another Commandment to show how amazing Ezcanor is. Fucking hell.
Why didn't King just call Oslo back after he finished Transporting Elaine and then have Oslo transport him back to them? Its been around a day since Oslo first transported Elaine.
I doubt it can be that easy, most likely one or more of the demons will be strong enough to fight Escanor before he peaks at noon, or there will be one who can control day and night to make Escanor useless until they get rid of that one, or Escanor will become more of a danger to everyone rather than an ally with his broken power.
would have 100/10 if not for that hamster on that upper left
I doubt shes dead, we never got to really see her do anything besides her soul trick. Galan got to show off all his cards before he dropped.
I'm almost expecting to see her stick around long enough to show how all the other Sins react to having their souls stolen, since Ban got out of it by having best dad, Escanor got out of it by having the sun as a soul, so I wonder if the other Sins are capable of escaping the soul eating in their own ways
Well it doesn't sound impossible for a spellcaster to shut him down. Gowther's magic powered up from Merlin was able to shut him down. A 20k+ powerlevel demon i can see being able to do similar.
Since a time I been wondering if she's really Matrona. I know that she has the same scars and all, but the fuzzy hair and the small eyes, and the fact that she was killed off-screen. Somewhat I think she's a buffed Dolores.
Considering that guy from Ban's past die
It wouldnt be surprising Diane's friend from the past also die
To be fair, that happened when it was relatively still early in the day.
'Course, the demons are going to be many times stronger than Gowther and Merlin, however Gowther specifically has a power capable of making Escanor lose consciousness.
Zivago was already old and died of natural causes anyway, his sacrifice was kind of there just to give Ban a reason to fight against the demons.
I don't want a Retsu 2.0, it hurt like hell in Baki already.
So, what will their role be in this story? Just to be a random fodder?
they established that whole little group of diamond/ silver/ gold rank or whatever shit. the kingdom needed to keep some players in power and since most of the holy knights we saw got btfo. these gents replaced them
Possibly to provide unique powers so that they can overcome the Commandments by working together. They've got a guy who weakens people with his arrows and a girl who can make someone a love slave; who knows what the others have for powers, but they'll probably help out in mitigating the huge gap in raw power.
Man, I'm conflicted about this chapter. On one hand Escanor is great, on the other hand, well, he is too much greater than anyone else. I was okay with him defeating Galan the way he did, but burning Mera in his soul form was a bit to much. It would be better if Ban had just managed to tell him in time and Mera decided to retreat cause he would not fall for her trick.
His Sunlight ability definitely isn't something as simple as just being really hot, though. It affected his entire being and he simply radiated power from his body. Lots of people have already had the inkling that his power may be related to the Holy Goddess Clan (and we know there are powers that are linked to them, such as Purge), but even without that, it makes sense for powers to be connected to a person's soul (if a soul is a person's memories, convictions, and feelings).
Yeah, I'm not saying it doesn't make sense, but the thing is, the demon clan was hyped as the most powerful clan, so powerful the other scrubs had to join in order to seal them. So far the only thing they managed to beat was random villagers. They jobbed to Meliodas, they sorta jobbed to Ban, they jobbed to Escanor and they jobbed to Mama hawk. I get that they are still weak, but they better start showing why they were considered a threat soon, cause right now I still don't get why Meliodas feared them.
People have long suspected that Meliodas is even stronger than the Commandments, though? And Escanor has been hyped up since the Edinburgh extras.
It's wrong to say they jobbed to Ban too, since Merascylla spent the entire battle just watching and blocking Ban's attacks, then instantly defeated him when she finally acted. Galan had a bad match-up against Ban, but would have won had he used Critical Over (but didn't, since there was pretty no chance of him actually losing as Merascylla was right there). The same situation is going on with Fraudrin right now, with him having lost to Deldrey's order, but probably still retaining his composure as his partner was right there just watching everything. It seems like that's the reason why they split up into pairs; so while one engages the enemy, the other can just observe and probe the abilities of their opponent.
And even up to now, it's hard to think that Merascylla or Galan are out for the count. Merascylla told Galan to flee, after all, so there's definitely a method to cure his petrification. Plus, getting burned alive and having her body crumble into ashes? Not even the worst sort of bodily harm we've seen one of the Commandments suffer and survive through. We haven't even seen her power (if spellcasters like her can even have a main power).
The demons haven't really flunked out at all yet. Like Melodias got the jump on them by being full powered when they were still recovering. Ban was never in control of the fight they were just confused as to how he was strong but would have easily won. Galan defeated everyone the first time he showed up and would've killed everyone too if he wasn't a retard for getting Gowther'd.
I mean otherwise it's just Fraudrin pretty much allowing himself to get caught since not even Mel could finish the dick off. And then Escanor blowing the two out but it's known he's the absolute fucking strongest of all the sins, so for Melodias to deal with them pretty easily while they're recovering it's not surprising that Escanor can do the same.
I just mean that they need to do something in order to be a threat again. I'm not saying they are beyond hope as antagonists or something like that, what I'm mean to say is that they need to show something for all the hype that was made about them.
We've literally only seen Fraudrin get caught.
And then Galan/Myrascylla fight.
Not a single of the other commandments. I'll go ahead and call it now that Galan is probably the weaker of the bunch.
Well, usually the one who boasts the most ends up being the weakest .
We'll see, I bet Estarossa is the top dog or at least the second one.
Did they even explain why Meliodas wanted poster is Estarossa's portrait? will it be the usual muh unsealed true form bullshit? Because Liz's vision is making me think about that.
I'm actually wondering if the vision that Liz had has more to do with the ability that Estarossa has.
>explain why Meliodas wanted poster is Estarossa's portrait
I mean he was sealed during the time that the sins 'betrayed' the kingdom. So I seriously have no clue how any would know what he looks like. I honestly hope that Mel doesn't have a true form like you've said. It seems like he would've used it to fuck up Fraudrin instead of holding it back so I can't see that happening.
Maybe Estarossa has "Dream" or some bullshit? So he can enter other peoples dreams which could be why he lazes around napping.
Series has kinda been like that though. Guila lived after stabbing herself in the heart or close to it. Jericho became half demon and lived. Dreyfus turned out to be alive still even if being controlled by Fraudrin. Howzer got jobbed and came back to life as well, and Liz's sister.
I mean. It's not really anything new if you think about it.
Sometimes the artist outright tells you what happens, but only show you via image.
This is the age of man son.
It's not new but it's also not very good either. It just deflates any sort of tension and makes Ban's power look superfluous.
I didn't say I liked it either anon.
I mean on occasion a character getting away from near death can be good to a story, but the amount of deaths to near deaths in NnT is abysmal.
Like amount of people dead so far is who?
Guila's Dad, Gil's Dad, and the original Helbram?
Everyone else is alive in some fashion. Elaine came back and so did Kings bff even if he's a helmet.
I forgot Matrona (unless the fatty actually died which I refuse to believe). And Liz was reincarnated so she shouldn't count.
Aaaand I forgot that the pig got revived as well. So there's another one on the bullshit-o-meter.
Since Disaster should be a ridiculously strong and useful power, yet we don't see it all that often, I'm waiting for the inevitable price or restriction on using it.
Or maybe King really is just that lazy.
>Or maybe King really is just that lazy.
He is, and that's why it's more impressive that he's probably the third most capable Sin after Mel and Escanor.
>Beat Guila and Jerico when both had actual weapons as well as Armor, and magic orbs
>Forced one of Dawn Roar to cut his own arm off and possibly never get it back as it was petrified
>Soloed one of the two demon weapons.
King is literally just a top tier keeping himself in upper mid tier because he's lazy.
it's more like
>king was the only one with his sacred treasure
During most of those times.
Ban still doesnt have his and can do nearly as well as King. Diane has never really had the chance to use hers but the one time she did, she destroyed a whole village and some with ease. Gowther can't really be measured in terms of just fighting potential. And we havent seen merlin fight yet.
it's really hard to rank him as third when half of the sins haven't been displayed full power yet.
King and Escanor are both the pinnacle of their races. Diane isn't even the strongest giant. Merlin just studied really hard, Gowther is just a tool built by Merlin that she controls, and Ban is literally shit tier that has nothing except immortality
Debuffers are the most overpowered. King specifically is like a toolbox with all kinds of shenanigans, but he never uses them since he's already floating around with Max special.
>He gets his wings
>Becomes so fast its literally impossible to track him
>He doesn't become any stronger, but he becomes fast enough that he can shred practically any enemy while wielding Chastiefol in hand to ribbons before they can counter attack
I died whenever Gouriki showed up or got in a fight
Died from lack of bloodflow to vital areas of my body
So i guess Escanor stops distinguishing between friend and foe at noon when he is at his strongest?
I have two questions.
1. Why did Escanor suddenly fuck off after he rekt Merascylla?
2. Why the fuck is Elaine still alive? I thought this whole reviving thing was just a temporary spell of Merascylla who got BTFO by the way.
I like the short hair better, dunno if i prefer just the stache to the full beard though.
We havent seen Escanor at the peak of his power yet.
He probably left because he knows he's going to be too strong at 12 noon for something. Maybe blind the shit out of everyone or burn everything up in an AOE radius.
He still insisted on showing us his poster some chapters ago so it will probably still have some importance. None of the poster illustrations of the other sins comes from nowhere, so there must a reason why Escanor was despicted as such.
Because if he stayed around he would've been a danger to Ban and friends. That early in the morning he still had the sense to know that, so he left for their own good.
I don't know, but i guess Mera isn't dead yet. We also don't know if Merlin is still a stone, if she is, then maybe defeating the commandments doesn't undo the effects of their powers, which would explain why she is still around even if mera died.
During the Edinburgh chapters, we see Escanor at noon, and it's unknown if he can control it, but he basically turned himself into the sun, able to burn the Vampire King just by standing near him, and then melting the entire castle in a single explosion. He also becomes far more prideful and arrogant as he reaches noon, so it's possible he is as dangerous to enemies as he is to allies when he reaches his peak
Night time Escanor fucking reminds of Luigi
My name is Escanor, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are fat, retarded, no-life demons who spend every second of their day eating stupid ass souls. You are everything bad in the world. Honestly, have any of you ever felt the sunshine? I mean, I guess it’s fun eating people's souls because of your own insecurities, but you all take it to a whole new level. This is even worse than jerking off to some dead loli fairy
Don’t be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I’m pretty much perfect. I was a member of the Seven Deadly Sins, and killed the vampire king. What evil do you slay, other than “random villagers plowing the field”? I also have a huge axe, and have a banging hot girlfriend I write poems for (She just cast a spell on me; Shit was SO cash). You are all faggots who should just kill yourselves. Thanks for listening.
Pic Related: It’s me and my witch
If Garan turning himself into stone, doesn't undo himself turning into stone, I don't really see why it would undo it on Merlin.
I also think it is outside of the people themselves that it is cast on, meaning probably the only way to undo it is kill the Demon King who created it in the first place.
The poster is basically what the artist in universe imagined Escanor would look like when he was 60 years old. But Escanor now just looks the same with an extra moustache, since the artist wouldn't know he doesn't age.
She just became eligible for dual classing.
I, for one, am ready for Diane's new career as a pole dancer. She'll first paralyze her opponents by giving them raging hard-ons, followed by smashing their balls with the hammer.
>nobody makes the connection that if Elaine (and the other corpses) are still moving around, it means Merscylla's magic is still active and Merscylla must still be alive.
We still don't know what happens to Escanor after his power peaks. What is the process he goes through as the sun sets? Eventually he ends up as we see him most of the time, but his appearance might change greatly from noon to dusk.
I think that he ages rapidly, turning into the old man we keep seeing in the wanted posters and such, and his body dies. At midnight, he resurrects as DYEL Escanor and the process repeats. This is the simplest idea, but I think that in addition, there's a period between when he "dies" and resurrects where he is vulnerable - if his corpse is completely destroyed he might not resurrect. That is why Merlin seems to be so concerned about keeping him contained - it's not to protect others against his strength, it's to hide his greatest weakness.
Well I can't help your shit taste dude, it's something you'll just have to work out on your own.
Greek ancient history lore expert here.
I've got a little spoiler. Read at your own risk.
Jericho has a baby with Ban who becomes a legendary warrior that literally outclasses full powered Escanor. Yes it's true I'm an expert.
Galan was also effectively a shadow mass occupying a suit of armor. We don't know if the other Demons have a similar physiology. For now though it's safer to say two down since whatsherface ate sunlight and that hard counters demons.
>going this far enough to save face
I know you don't really like amputees. And why did you have to go and even find a le ambutee picture?
Drop the act dweeb.
Now you're just being that guy.
Though I do prefer missing arms to missing legs.
Arthur becomes the strongest known entity in the universe.
All of the seven deadly sins are kill but they secretly had children.
Arthur comes across a group of dangerous orphan children with powers of a holy knight.
He trains them all to become the renown Seven Deadly Kids
FUCKING REKT BITCH OOOOHHH BITTTCCCHH
>steal Escanor's strenght
>burn from the inside out
Probably not a good idea.
So, three chapters and the arc is over, right?
>Diane meets up with escanor.
>Diane, King and Ban defend Escanor at night.
>Diane throws Escanor next to a demon at the morning. Escanor kils demons.
I wonder what Meliodas can do with his black mark now, when he finally got control over his wrath.
He'll certainly still be weaker than Escanor at his strongest, but overall he's still the most reliable party member at the moment who always operates at huge power level without being tied to the time of day.
How is Ban still exhausted? When fighting against Gray Hendrickson Melodias told him that while demons can heal quickly they'll still have damage unless they're immortal, implying immortals can recover completely (i.e. back to their original state). If that's the case Ban's body should have healed from the exhaustion.
We don't really know how all the details of each works. The waters that gave Ban immortality used to feed a tree, one would think the sun the energy source for almost all life on Earth could just supercharge Ban.
Diane put up a fight against Gowther despite being small and without her sacred treasure.
Gowthers mind attacks still can still get dodged and blocked. In a direct fight I consider Diane as stronger.
Do we really need cancerous shit posting? Would have hoped at least dead series would stay dead.
holy fuck, i just spit my water everywhere.
>mfw I called exactly this happening after last weeks chapter
Come on Nakaba
It probably wouldn't have been derailed so easily if the chapter had actually been worth discussing.
>So far the only hellfire that demonstrated the ability to permanently hurt Ban is Mel's.
Don't forget Jerichos ex power.
This world is a complete power sink.
If one power seems completely broken there surely are several that can counter it.
> People still shitposting on how Matrona is fucking Dolores when she has a peg leg
Sometimes /a/ can be so fucking retarded.
Fanbook's featured manuscript has been finally translated.
>Before he started serializing The Seven Deadly Sins, Nakaba Suzuki drew more than twenty versions of the pilot chapter. For the first time ever, we publish here one of the original 54-page manuscripts—a.k.a. "Chapter X"—in English translation, featuring earlier settings that are slightly different from what we know as the beginning of this manga.
Holy shit you guys are fucking retarded.
At this point, you guys won't accept anything. Honestly continue believing that its the irrelevant fat chick.
I mean, i'm happy with what he did with Meliodas but final Liz is inferior to all his prototypes.
Nakaba's been doing some interesting things with souls in recent chapters. Souls appear to have at least some physical form that can interact with physical things, as well as each other. They also contain Power now (according to this chapter, unless Escanor is a special case), rather than the body itself. I'm curious as to how much more Nakaba is planning on expanding this concept, considering how important it probably ties into Hawk's resurrection.
God Jericho become better with every chapter.
I won't be surprised if Elaine herself will try to help her with winning Ban's affections as i doubt she will be able to be present in a living world for long and wants Ban to be happy.
>Escanor killed Gawain already
I don't see how it would be relevant or how could it fit in the story.
>Gawain shows up later working for Arthur and they have a sunny d flex off.
This is more possible but I still don't think this series will follow the Arthurian word by word.
> their dance
Its a Giants dance passed down for generation with a fixed name. She didn't name it, that's what it was already called.
Do you realize how stupid you sound? I'm generous her and calling it trolling because no way could someone be this stupid. Its fucking obviously Matrona. The peg leg was obviously too kill all the Dolores retards.
she better learn how to dance like a stripper
Nakaba, you genius. How can someone turn worst girl into best girl so fast?
A-anon-kun, why is my dick already so hard ?
That face she's making is pretty DIAMONDS.
I just don't see why people are hoping that she turns out to be the uselss bitch. It makes no sense story wise and it would be a terrible plot twist for the sake of it.
> Useless fat bitch becoming 10C tier fighter and far beyond Diane's level who was said to be a frightening talent Useless fat bitch having a peg leg for no fucking reason
> Useless fat bitch looking exactly like Matrona
Really? I was pretty sure. Lemme go check.
Regardless, the fact that she died offscreen--and that Matrona seemed to die pretty hard *on* screen--still makes me doubt her being Matrona. We'll see, I guess.
There was no mention of that, and it was at least heavily implied that your two options as a woman in the giants clan is to either fight till you drop, or go and make kids so they can fight. So since Matrona was always fighting, she shouldn't have a child.
On that note, I wonder how many remembers that the ancestor was named Dolor. So I guess it could be her dance instead?
I could see Matrona having realized that training Diane the normal way doesn't work, since she hates fighting, so she could be training her through a dance now.
>Gluttony defeated Merascylla
Sweet, sweet victory
I hope she doesn't come back, honestly. It would make all the Escanor build up less weighty in my opinion.
If she does come back, I hope she's suffered an incomplete or otherwise failed regeneration and is now monstrous.
>I'm the most powerful Sin, I can one-shot demons if they underestimate me
>No, wait, actually I still have to battle this one normally.
It's a personal thing, I don't mean to sound like I speak for the masses or anything.
As much as I like Escanor, it would be retarded if the demons were really able to be handled like that. We wasted a good amount of chapters on training and such because of how stupidly strong they were supposed to be compared to everyone else
>It would make all the Escanor build up less weighty in my opinion.
I don't know, his victory over the two is pretty clear, she doesn't have to be dead-as-a-doornail to establish that.
I can get behind the idea of her coming back as something monstrous, though, fuck yeah.
Please, she likes it. She has the strongest being in existence all to herself
for her experiments.
That seems to be connected to the black shawl thing she has, which is probably just a natural characteristic of the Demon Clan. You know what I'm talking about, right? The black tattoos that spread all over a demon's body to reattach their body or harden an area to defend it from attacks like a natural armor.
>posting in threads about series you don't read
Because Escanor's power is related to time of day, while Meliodas' strength will remain stable. Restoring him to full strength is a more practical option than finding Escanor.
But hey, nobody e cares about is dead for once. Isn't that nice?
On paper he's far too useful, so you have to offset that by making him late to the party and slothful as fuck.
His weapon IS his power, anon. "Status Promotion" is just a specific application of Disaster, like Hunter Fest or Banishing Kill are of Snatch. It's how he controls the growth of the plant-life that composes Chastiefol.
He uses Disaster to operate his weapon, but you have to wonder why he doesn't just take the direct approach and use his power on enemies. Even though Sacred Treasures are meant to "draw out more power" as per the hand/cup/lake example, it seems like that would be the opposite case here.
He doesn't directly use the tree roots either, for some reason.
Who's to say it's stronger, though? Sunflower, Fossilization, and Increase all seem pretty dangerous in their own ways (Sunflower for pure damage, Fossilization disabling an opponent with a single scratch, and Increase for a heavy storm of hard to block attacks). Plus, there's Chastiefol's true form which wiped destroyed an Albion.
