It also appeals to a sense of romance, with the hand holding and the dynamic of lead and follow.
This series in particular makes good use of the main cast's adolescence, the main character's lack of experience, and the dynamics of dance sport.

Ballet manga were pretty popular in the seventies and a lot of shoujo mangaka from that period were also ballerinas as kids/teenagers. There's actually a Japanese book about it that has interviews with Hagio Moto, Ariyoshi Kyoko, Maya Mineo, Ryoko Yamagashi, etc
I'd recommend Swan by Ariyoshi Kyoko, it's like the Yowamushi Pedal of ballet manga. There's a lot of information in it.

Ariyoshi Kyoko's Swan
The artstyle of this manga changes a lot, it starts as a traditional ballet series but later on it goes into contemporary/modern dance so the pages are set up differently.

I think if the mangaka decides to keep Tatara and Chinatsu together through the rest of the series, the series will be kind of short, at least in terms of chapters and volumes.

It depends on how much Tatara is going to grow up over the course of the series. Like, Hajime no Ippo started in High School and now he's like 25. Waga na wa Umishi, on the other hand, probably took place over at least a year or two, but we never see it.

The manga incorporates many incomplete sentences and sentences that aren't completed and left hanging like thoughts of sorts. There's a certain merit to translating them as actual sentences into English but personally I don't mind the 'thought'-like incompleteness some of them have.

An extremely literal translation would be "a composition with flowers (in it)"
But 花のある used in the context of not actual flowers, is more akin to 'pertaining the characteristics of flowers', mostly the associated elements like beauty/elegance and not the anatomy like petals, stalk, and whatever.
I approve of a certain 'artistic' license and the usage of non-conventional words in place of more 'boring' ones, as the manga itself sort of does that at times. In the case of 'flowering' vs 'flowery' however, I can't see much to argue about. I'm happy either way the editor goes.
Great work. The text seems much more fluid with this without losing any meaning of the original text. Much appreciated.
