Why Kaiji can't find real friends?
>>
Hopefully his latest friends won't betray him, although I sort of expect them to. This is Kaiji we are talking about here, getting stabbed in the back has become par for the course.

He found a job after Espoir. He didn't search for one in part 3 because he's a leech
>>
>>133125705
What kind of job ?
>>
>>133125748
Cleaning the floor and shit in a convenience store if I recall
>>
>>133125083
This. By the end of this arc these 3 will prove to be real friends to Kaiji.
>>
>>133126320
I swear if Kazuya does a heel-face turn at the end of this arc I will actually start buying Kaiji merchs as gratitude.
>>
>>133123766
Cause he keeps making friends in gyambru situations when that kind of people are usually untrustworthy.
>>
I started reading part 3, it's all about Mahjong? or there's more games?
>>
>>133123766

Real friends and friendship honestly don't exist, that's why.
>>
>>133123766
It's because he's retarded.
>>
>>133126791
There's also the Uno Arc.
>>
He's not looking in the right places.
>>
>>133126812
Kazuya pls go.
>>
>>133126791
Yeah just the mahjong, but after reading Akagi it feels like the game is over in no time at all.

He's a genuine idiot OP. This fuck seriously has no hope in life. He gets so fucking lucky and then immediately screws himself over the very next moment. At this point things have gotten so stupid it's no longer worth reading the manga.
>>
>>133126968
The 45ers betraying him was unexpected. Getting Chang and Mario to help him was a good move.
>>
>>133126791
Yeah it's all Mahjong but it's simplified really easy to understand.

>>133126840
Don't joke about that, man. I got really hyped when the Uno deck came up in the manga but it was too good to be true.
>>
All his friends are dead

>the two 45ers didn't betray him because they thought he was in cahoots with Teiai which would screw them over
>they didn't betray him out of any desire of self defense or anything
>they betrayed the guy who saved them from hell because they thought he kept a lot of money because the guy they know to be rotten to the core told them so

Still makes me mad, thankfully now they're crumbling under debts.
>>
>>133126791
Part 3 worst part. Skip it if you want.
>>
>>133126791
don't listen to
>>133127730
yes it's just mahjong, but the buildup to the climax will be worth it, believe me
>>
>>133127698
This was the pits, really. After the harrowing ending of the Casino Pachinko arc, with the hidden debts and that kind man in black who just give him money, half of the people he 'bought' from enslavement betrayed him. Horrible.

Though I guess Chang and Mario are good people, it's weird giving like 14 volumes or about 3 years to games the MC just watched and not played at all. But I guess Kaiji (and Akagi)'s pace are just that stretched out.
>>
>>133128648
No, I've seen the climax and Kaiji getting rescued by a tissue paper slip was clever but not really worth the slog through it. Part 3 is by far the slowest, most monotone, and technical chapter there is. For instance part 1 had 4 games played, technically 5 if you count the beam crossing twice, part 2 had two games, and part 3 has 1 game, making it really lack in variety. Even part 4 can technically be said to have 2 games because of the story in Kazuya's book. I would have rather have seen 17 steps played in Akagi, it would have fit better there. The only saving grace part 3 has is introducing Peanut Nose Jr.
>>
>>133128833
Part 4 had two games, none of which is played by Kaiji.

I hate it. I loathe it. I'm here to watch Kaiji play against some bullshit guy, not that same bullshit guy tormenting five innocent people for his demented 'understanding' of the real world

And Part 5 looks like it'll be a one-game thing, too. At least Kaiji plays in it.
>>
>>133128833
do you watch it JUST for the games?
>>
>>133128933
Mostly yes. I like games, and the ones FKMT comes up with are interesting. Kaiji is a cool dude too, and I like him as a character a lot, but for me his appeal is second to the cool games and scenarios in those games presented. That said The Bog wasn't really a game, as it can either only be won or only be lost, but I liked the arc just because I also like heist movies like Ocean's 11 and The Italian Job and The Bog arc is a good bit of that.

Also I find a lot of the villains to be uninteresting, so they're not much of an attraction eityher. For instance both Tanegawa and greasy talk big, but they're really just a couple of cheap cheats, hypocrites of the most obvious kind. Greasy in particular talks about the thrill of the gamble, but there's really not any gamble for him, is there? And Tonegawa talks about how experiences he is and how well he can read people, but that's just a façade isn't it?
