Baby, who's that?
Don't look now, there's a monkey on your back!
He doesn't like fun, playful, loyal people.
It's pretty simple anon.
For what reason?
I think I should watch Hana again
I thought it was pretty boring the first time I watched but, but since then I've heard a lot of people praising it when they watch it the second time
Are there any things I should look out for or keep in mind?
There's nothing in particular. Maybe pay attention to how exactly Kanabru loses her devil arm and what it means. Also why she would want devil to give up all the devil parts as well.
The bath scene in the BD.
Also, if you feel like it, look for the irony in stuff Numachi says now that you know she is the ghosts. And the fact that there's a more explicit 'moral to the story' than other monogatari arcs - listen to Kaiki and RRRG.
If you keep nothing else in mind, at least keep this. It's true that she may be gone, but as long as you keep her in your heart, Ponytail Kanbaru will be with you always.
She was only around for a few hours. How is this legal?
same with sweaterbaru
which there is only one good picture of
When I have time I'm going to draw some sweater and tracksuitbaru.
Cuddlybaru is criminally underrepresented in fanart.
Is there any other kind of Baru
Some are more cuddly than others.
I'm not shitposting, I genuinely can't stand the rest of this show, I usually skip through the episodes at 4x speed until it looks like something interesting is going to happen.
Lately? They have always been around anon.
Sounds like you have a bad case of ADHD and/or shit taste anon.
There is no cure.
The show is mostly about the story and characters
If you are skipping until some action happens then you are looking at the wrong series
I suggest you look at something that has been in shonen jump
Living with shit taste is difficult, thank you for understanding.
>until some action happens
You are seriously misunderstanding the variety of shit taste I have.
I just only like listening to monologues of characters who actually have something interesting to say.
Aside from the stuff about oddities most of the dialogue is either about the characters or just idle conversations between them
So if you don't find that enjoyable or "interesting" then this probably isn't the show for you
All -Baru are best Baru but Casualbaru is the epitome of Kanbaru outfits.
I call that one tanktopbaru, this is casualbaru.
But they're literally the same picture.
Do you have two names for the same outfit?
I was referring to the picture you quoted which I thought you meant.
Anyway casualbaru is great but comfybaru is best.
I want my monkey to be as hugable as possible, that's why trasuitbaru and sweaterbaru win out for me.
I want pajamabaru but she doesn't wear them.
It's a damn shame.
all of them anon, what's wrong with you?
She's always plenty huggable. I believe she should be aiming for max stylishness without straight breaking into overt femininity.
She wouldn't be able to outdo the Goth Loli outfit anyway, it would be pointless to try.
If I was going to stray from comfybaru it would be to sportybaru.
For femininity. She's always plenty huggable, she doesn't need to be comfybaru to add a bonus to a maxed stat.
Also Sportybaru is alright but Middleschoolbaru is way cuter.
>hasnt read kanbaru date
>thinks there is something wrong with the purest form of love
We've already established that middleshoolbaru is the cutest, or I guess it might have been last thread.
I don't see how comfy makes her more feminine though.
You mean this?
This is from nadeko snake right?
That's the most adorable.
We need more adjectives for monkey.
I think we're getting our topics confused. I was talking about the Gothlolibaru being the one that makes her the most feminine.
Sweater/tracksuitbaru is the most comfy while middleschool/lolibaru are the cutest.
Stylishbaru and Casualbaru are the outfits which hit the middle ground and do a bit of everything.
Sportybary and Nisemonogataribaru are the Ero outfits though.
No love for the high school outfit because it just exists and nearly everyone wears that outfit so it doesn't do anything to accentuate Kanbaru uniquely.
We can't get enough, captain. We need more.
School outfit get's special mention because it get's a ridiculously short skirt compared to the others because of spats.
Spats are truly a miracle of the universe, just like she is.
I like this outfit, because her suspenders lift her skirt up just so she can show you her spats
its both cute and lewd at the same time
Nakedbaru is the most pure form of monkey but it's not specialized enough.
Let's face it anon, all monkey is lewd except middleschool and loli.
That's a nice opinion you have there.
Too bad it's shit.
You can't say she's your favorite girl unless you actually understand her character and motives (including the themes present in her story and how it affects her as a character).
So do you /a/?
She's a looks up to a lot of people and has low self esteem because of how her mother raised her. This causes her to admire but also be envious and hateful of the people around her at the same time. The hate is something she has lived with for most of her life and she fights to keep it under control because she doesn't like it.
She's a silly person but he's not an idiot. She's not super bright but she also likes playing the fool.
If you win her respect it's hard to lose it and she's very loyal to her friends.
Above all other characters in gatari she's the one I wish I knew personally the most.
I agree with all of this
To add to this I'd say she worries a lot more than she lets on
Since she made the first wish she constantly thinks about how she interacts with others and the effects it has on them
I can't but that's because I'm an idiot.
I'm sure there's something in there about her self-deprecation giving rise to her strong negative feelings and how while she's a generally positive person, much like a monkey, she can switch to a violent side if provoked.
There's probably something about Tooe in there too and how Tooe giving Kanbaru the Rainy Devil arm was to help her firstly by giving Kanbaru the strength to overcome anything without needing the arm and secondly, if she did give into the arm then at least she'd be forced to get the strength to overcome everything just because Tooe correctly predicted the kind of person Kanbaru would grow up to be.
I suppose there might be something about her general indecisiveness which was highlighted in Hana but I'm guessing that's probably a part of her general self-deprecating nature and overcompensation of her actions in regards to her close personal relationships like confessing her undying servitude to Araragi instead of just being normal friends.
The way I see it Tooe could tell monkey was insecure and lacked self esteem. She knew monkey would grow envious and hateful of other people and the arm was a way to force her to deal with the hate and let it go instead of just silently sitting on it like she used to.
The devil arm forces you to act on your most destructive and hateful impulses and once monkey came in contact with it she could no longer ignore that part of herself.
Tooe made herself the poison to force a change, that's what I think she meant.
I think the arm represented monkey's hate, I mean it's not really a stretch, that's what the devil was always about. It was always there, a part of monkey all wrapped up and hidden. She constantly had to keep it under control and be vigilant but one day she woke up and it was gone.
That was what Hana was about.
I can't really say whether or not that was what Hana was about, I get the gut feeling we're missing the importance Numachi had as both a mirror of Kanbaru and in general.
Though that's me. I'm just a person who listens to their gut feelings.
Namachi was just an option open to Kanbaru.
A way of solving her problems.
If you put enough distance between yourself and what's bothering you eventually it will stop bothering you.
But that's not the only way to deal with things, and Kanabru decided it was not the best way for her.
So then she went the Araragi path and decided that if it bothered her then she should take action no matter what anyone else thinks because people are going to think she's right/wrong regardless?
Effectively bringing her character development around full-circle with her backstory literally being "I care too much what people think and their words and actions make me want to hurt them" and eventually becoming. "I'm alright with people now. I'm just going to do my own thing and that's alright."
At least her idolization of Araragi was justified, he did eventually turn out to be someone she really could emulate and her emulation did actually provide her with a solid resolution.
I don't care about size, shape is all that matters when it comes to tits
That's what I mean, I want them supple and smooth with small nipples.
>>124021346 looks too perky.
up until now i considered myself a great monogatari fan
how the fuck did i manage to completely miss hanamonogatari ?
you are going to be blown away when you find out about tsukimonogatari
But it shows who exactly RRRG is. In kizu, his biggest issue was turning back into a human, and how he felt lonely. But in tsuki he points out that he would gladly turn back into a vampire to protect crab and cat. And that part when shinobu mentions that if
Doll's onee-chan, I can't remember her name, killed RRRG, then shinobu would kill her immediately.I guess I just like that part cause I'm a batfag.
It's just the contrarian opinion. Hana got plenty of hate when it came out and Tsuki was well received. So of course now all the hipster faggots on /a/ act like Hana is a piece of art or some shit.
She's cute, sexy, a loyal bro and has a fun personality.
What's not to like?
Also this >>124030097
Hana is fine, it was a bit slow and was hurt by not having enough of the cast in it but that couldn't be helped. Monkey is mostly alone again.
A good objective rating of the series is
just started rewatching hana and it's weirdly refreshing
also just saw this really cute frame
I know that and I don't mind it but the backlash is to be expected if you have a story in the monogatari universe and not include most of the characters.
I appreciated it for what it was but people who wanted to see more of their favorite characters were let down.
Neko is in a similar boat but it has other problems as well.
Also she seems pretty bi to me.
It's a scale anon, She's pretty gay but if she finds the right guy she'd bone him.
I don't see how it matters anyways.
Apparently, and I'm not a moonfag so I don't really know, but meat sounds like hate in nipponese and we all know how much monkey loves to hate.
Not a novelfag either, mostly because of the moon thing, but I didn't see her actually eat it in the anime.
I got the impression that he was treating her like a kid or his own daughter. He wanted her to order meat so that she would eat something good for her and didn't want her to do the polite thing and order a salad or something. I do the same when I take my little bro out to eat, he's so goddamned considerate that unless I tell him to order something that he *wants* to eat, he'll order the cheapest thing on the menu so I don't have to pay as much.
