Girls Und Panzer Thread
Anyone know the rock and roll-esque music that plays during the saunders high battle?
I have to say, the last RabuRabu chapter was, well, something different.
Now I'm afraid someone will ask that one thing nobody should be asking about Rabu Rabu, and start another huge fire.
Let's hope nobody understands me. Post fluffy in the meantime.
I'm just now getting over a 5 year anime burn out and this was the show broke myself in with.
All I can say is I wish I could've been around for live watch threads. I feel like I missed out on something great.
>Is Girls und Panzer worth getting into?
Indeed. It's a very good show.
>Is there good english dubbing? Or only subtitles?
There's an (American) English dub, but it is not a good one. Not a matter of "subs over dubs" nor "dubs over subs": this particular one happens to be VERY bad. Not to mention, it's lacking some of the best scenes because of sillu "US only" copyright problems (several songs that are public domain in all the world but for a certain shithole country - guess which one)
Nothing, just that /ak/ subs are the best because they were done carefully and taking our time while Commie's were
trollsubs andrushed, but in OVA 7's case, it was the other way around, so their are a /little/ bit more polished. But for the trollsubs part. That one stays the same.
The war you're definitely not supposed to mention.
War, Anon. It's always the same thing.
Which member of Duck Team would you like to attempt a reverse libero with?
Strange coincident.. I just found this pic via Google..
Minor player gets rekt, nothing else happens
Hyped player falls at the first hurdle
All the major players finally enter
Last gasp of the Axis
Delaying the inevitable
The inevitable happens
What would you have picked?
Nay m8 1942 wasn't the true turning point, the nazis where just stalled, 1943 was much more important and gruesome, if the nazus were smart they could have committed more to moskou and have won the war, after kursk it was over
Sorta, it contains (as ester eggs) single frames of "Panzer vor means panzer vor" and "We're all World of Tanks nerds", IIRC. But other than that, they're trollsub-free
You still haven't calm down, have you?
Have some Fluffy. Maybe it'll calm you up.
1942 was the turning point and is identified as most historians as such. 1943 held chances to undo that damage, but they all failed. All the operations is 1943 were direct reactions to the failed campaigns of 1942.
I'm kind of surprised anyone who knows WW2 doesn't know this.
why is anzios uniform so feaking sexy.
Those white high tights adn skirt combo is deadly.
but there are no men to seduce in that school. why they make them so arousing
>but there are no men to seduce in that school. why they make them so arousing
It is canon their ship is an actual tourist attraction, hence all the food stalls. I am sure at least some boys visit for the girls.
I just want to give her a headpat and maybe even
There's also this reference, can't remember what movie/show it's from though
>In 1942 their incredible winning streak ended
That is literally what the phrase 'tuning point' means, it's not 'they no longer have any chance at all' but 'they were constantly making gains and now the course has turned and it is the other side who are making gains', anyway '1942 turning point' returns 1.6 million results, he's encyclopedia Britannica http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/291225/20th-century-international-relations/32907/The-turning-point-1942
but there's over a million other links to chose from if you dislike that source.
Perfect time to remind everyone
who the best girl of all time is.
My new favorite girl. I just started reading it today.
But in this post >>123476063
You put "last gasp of the axis" under 1943 as if a major blow was done to the nazis already(there was not, they were just stalled) they temporarely couldn't advance but then they did a major offensive in which they were broken at stalingrad and kursk, it was more of a 'break' than it was a real turning point because they resumed the offensive afterwards, also please be consistent in your definition of a turning point
