What does Tomoko deserve for the manga's ending?
Lonely christmas cake office lady with boring job and stupid coworkers.
She doesn't smell bad, she's clean. Confirmed in the manga.
Suicide, or worse. A normalfag life.
Only good end would be an /u/ end with Komiyama but that's not going to happen.
I wish girls like Tomoko existed in real life.
There's only one way a story like this can end, with her on the edge of the school rooftop just before graduation, looking out at the world below her. Then it shows a close up of her face with a smile in the very last panel. If she's smiling because this will be the last time she's in that school and can put this disappointing chapter of her life behind her, or because she's finally decided to jump would be up to the reader's interpretation.
Tomoko's graduation, a boy who is also graduating sits down next to her, trying to avoid Kohai-san. Without knowing who she is, the boy begins making small talk and Tomoko just sits there nervously stuttering and squeaking. Finally understanding what kind of girl he is talking to, he asks her name. Unable to "hear" her name, the boy eventually teases her into shouting her name. The entire graduating class hears "KUROKI TOMOKO" and the crowd falls silent with eyes on her. Embarrassed she runs inside. The boy follows and apologizes for making her scream like that. Crying, Tomoko accepts his apology and snaps back with, "At least now I'm popular" with a huge goofy smile and tears in her eyes.
This image will never not be posted now.
Don't sexualize Tomoko.
Why does japan get the good stuff?
Bullied to the point where she kills herself.
how about bullied until the point where she's killed?
That'd be too easy
She'd try killing herself a bunch of times but fuck up at it, end up in hospital maybe, but keeps on trying to end it all because she's pathetic enough.
>all this hate
Well fuck you faggots, new chapter in 3 days.
>it gets delayed again
It's gonna happen.
>become friends with komi
>together they try to become more socially adjusted step by step even after many embarrassing and cringy failures
>tomoko suddenly gets exactly what she always wanted: sudden and uncompromised popularity
>yuu and komi become more distant
>i want legit dark shit for this
>tomoko realises how shallow popularity really is and how she really misses those two
>they were the two best friends she could ever have and they accept her for who she is
>eventually tomoko chooses to forfeit her popularity just to be friends with that loser and slut friend again
>graduates high school and tomoko is the same introverted otaku with the same hobbies, only more self-conscious, outspoken, wiser, and less of a social sperg, completely comfortable with who she is and comfortable talking with people
>apologises to mom and bro for being a pathetic and whiny bitch and treating them badly
>ending implies she finds a boyfriend not unlike her once she enters an art college
I'm just playing with you anon.
It's not gonna get delayed and if it does, we'll have something to look forward to.
This however is over the line.
Stop playing with my emotions anon.
I miss the artstyle from the earlier chapters.
guess she really is doomed to be a neet
pls b in
better than no education.
What are Tomoko's favourite movies? Directors? Bands? Books? What stuff would you see her get into when she gets older? Share all your headcanons.
anime ones probably
anime soundtracks/related music and that one minimalist band the anthology said she liked
that one manga she was reading in that last chapter
I take she actually gets into the music production scene, she djays like a mad cunt, she probably gets a midi controller or a synthesizer or some device of the sorts and starts dropping singles that could blew your socks off.
Or she becomes a lame office lady like fucking Komi-something-san or something.
>Group of nips
>Always one wearing a surgical mask
Every fucking time.
Too bad she couldn't handle a basic Vocaloid.
Art colleges usually have history of art and art analysis lessons which greatly expand knowledge and help gain greater understanding about composition. And they also prevent you from being a pretentious sham who can get away with anything like in those modern art exhibits. I can't take any artist seriously if he doesn't know his history and basic art theory.
No, certainly not when you're learning History. It's not like trying to learn while watching someone do something manually. It's just reading and memorization, and if you need someone to tell you how to do that, you have problems.
>Implying the role of a teacher isn't to differentiate useful and relevant information from the sea of unsubstantiated shit that is the literary and online world.
You can spend your life reading things online, but it's foolish to claim you will learn faster and easier on your own rather than with the assistance of someone with usually decades of experience in the field.
You CAN do it with the internet and books, but it will require more work.
I'd try to salvage it, but Hawk has her sharp claws dug deep in this one. Wait till the 5th for a pure Mokocchi thread.
I've never been to college myself, but judging from the college works that people who do go there showed me, I'd say their job is actually to give you as much useless and irrelevant information as possible.
Hey, don't blame me alone for this. I just joined the ongoing discussions.
Guys I'm serious
How do I get a gf like Tomoko in real life?
This would work if Tomoki was gay.
>Author and illustrator dead in a suicide-pact.
>Final chapter is found among their work in which Tomoko an heros
They initially assumed Watamote would flop. But the manga sells well and only the anime did poorly.
They don't outright say it, but some of the chapters have mini episodes between the artists and author.
Watamote is being serialized, dafuq?
Watamote is getting an anime, dafuq?
Watamote is popular over seas, dafuq?
Watamote is popular, we need a new series.
I mean, they've got talent, but it's obviously not a labor of love, judging from their comments. They actually resent us for liking Watamote.
Just because the premise is based on personal experiences doesn't necessarily mean that it's currently a labor of love, or even that it ever was.
>create a successful manga
>brings in cash
I understand but for me it seems they never thought they would be working on it for so long and have another possibly better idea
I've asked this before but here's my logic
>working together for countless hours a day every week
>manga is highly personalized
>many sexual innuendos and references to sexual matters
>two lonely people, one female, one male
I'd say yes
NGE ring a bell...
It is for me. And then people keep telling me to watch LOGH, and it just makes me want to kill myself.
I never shitpost, but it's irrelevant anyway because it's not the same at all. This is interactive. I don't just stand there and listen to something.
She has immense cock lust, but her dislike of loneliness and desperation for attention would probably persuade her to accept the advances of a girl.
Like Student Class President.
Man. If Tomoko was your gf, she'd be down with anything to make you happy enough that you'd never leave her.
DP with someone you know that's down with it
Bareback all the time
sex when pregnant
>all those early Tomoko doujins with the oddest fetishes
I'll bet she'll be down to do anything.
You could have said you were on the cover of times most beautiful people or some shit and everyone here would have been none the wiser, I think you disappointed just by failing to create an illusion that would never be broken
It could have been broken if I eventually talked to, and then showed myself to someone who expected me to be hot.
What do you mean?
I said need, not deserve.
You were right.
I don't think it's insane. I get along way better with people here than with people outside.
>I get along better with people here
If you ever do meet someone through /a/ be sure to tell everyone how it goes. You might get along with the people here but you honestly know very little about them. Go for it though, just be sure to tell the tale.
I've had decent conversations with Hawk. And some other trip fags. I don't shun them as per the meme, but gauge them based on comments.
There is no harm in a tripfag every now and then, but it can get annoying. Random, noncontributing members have no need of a trip. People who need to claim identity, MODS and ADMINS require trips.
People thinking it is some kind of dividing line are what keeps the funposting going tho.
>I don't think it's insane. I get along way better with people here than with people outside.
Do you also spout memes and carry around printed reaction images from Chinese cartoons to express yourself?
If not, interacting with an /a/non in real life probably wouldn't go the way you think.
It's right above you anon, be advised though because she's picky as fuck.
To be honest, all my attempts at relationships so far have been failures. Either we don't get along and stop talking, or we do get along, but stop talking anyway. It's pretty distressing.
I thought you hated me.
No, but not everyone here is like that. I wouldn't want to be with someone like that.
I've been back for a while now.
My desktop is working now, we've had conversations.
>not this end
Fuck you and you are shit
Go somewhere nerds frequent. Comic store/cafe/bookstore.
Look up some psychology material about body language and learn to recognize avoidant or schizoid behaviors.
Spot a girl exhibiting those behaviors.
Talk to her with all the wit and charm you can muster and get her number.
Take her out on a date and fuck her
What a great ending. It's so original and unexpected. So wacky!
Really her goal is to get a boyfriend.
The arbitrary filler of her social anxiety and the spilled spaghetti are just icing on the Christmas cake.
Once she gets a boyfriend, the manga can end.
Not that guy but it better work nigga or I'm gonna beat your ass
I'm not a clone, and we're different in many ways, but the reason I decided to watch watamote in the first place was because I kept seeing panels and screencaps that I could relate to, so yeah.
Carried away to a magical land. Becomes a
I'd molest you any day of the week hawk as long as you're not a landwhale.
I have a perfect vision and usually long brown hair.
I'm underweight. People always call me fat because of the stereotype, but I hate eating.
this is not hawk general, please stop responding thank you
The hate fucking with Tomoko should be intense.
She's horribly insecure. A boyfriend usually just centralizes the doubts and worries of someone like that. After that initial elation, she would probably be clingy, stalking, and questioning of a lot of his actions. She might be so insecure as to want all of his time for herself. Lord forbid he has friends to spend time with, let alone female friends.
Then again, it's a whole new arc of cringe, cute, and hilarity...
You're ideas are terrible because you are a tripfag.
I DIDN'T EVEN READ YOU'RE POST!
Girls like Tomoko don't exist. Even the most ugly ones and sociallly retarded can find a good man.
It's the socks. They're sexual for some reason.
There's a girl like Tomoko at my college. Long dark hair covering eyes and everything.
She is so shy that she is actually on disability and has an aide follow her around just so she can handle basic social interactions. The few times I have heard her talk it always sounds like she's on the verge of crying.
I've thought about talking to het but I'm honestly afraid she'll have a breakdown or something.
Please stop mastrubating and learn the difference between reality and fiction.
>I've thought about talking to het but I'm honestly afraid she'll have a breakdown or something.
Do it faggot, if she's on disability for social anxiety she's probably fiending for some human contact.
Unless this is an artistic falsehood, in which case I hope my post contributed to whatever depraved fantasy you are acting out
you should talk to her, anon.
this is the start of a new manga right here. an autistic loser like tomoko who goes to college. the first half of the first chapter would be all about her life and how she got to where she was. but the end of the chapter is where you come into her life. when you first talk to her: that'll be the equivalent of those cherry blossoms on the hill that you see in every cliche romance manga.
maybe she's a bitch like tomoko and she'll reject you or something because you also look like a loser. but that's alright. because the final panel of the first chapter would be something foreboding like "...yet little did i know that loser; that guy who went out of his way to talk to me, would change my life forever" or something.
anon, it is your time to shine. because the love interest that you were meant to be. begin your story.
This anon is right, don't miss your chance!
part of what makes it nerve wracking is that she does have the aide with her all the time, so it's not like I can get her alone, there will be a middle aged woman there too.
Given time, that precious time to work on your back log, you will imprint on her. I'd assume eventually she would send her aide away for an errand or something of the like.
I hope you get run over by a bus.
I do, but I really don't have much hope at all. I don't know why I keep trying. ALL my relationships in the previous 23 years have failed, usually after a few months.
>what reason do they give?
It has never happened. We usually just talk less and less until we completely stop. I guess I'm not fun to talk to and/or am a shitty person.
oh shit... sorry I've been watching code geass, how long has Mio been funposting all over /a/?
You know that relationship doesn't necessarily mean love relationship, right? I'm talking about everything. I've actually never ever dated anyone. I can't keep friends for more than a few months.
Seeing that she has an aide with her, the girl's got a history, so you really might not want to be alone with her. You don't even know how tiny your baby steps should be when approaching her in the first place.
Maybe just start with a smile. A small one, something unassuming, one that you do in passing, the kind that you'd shoot at an old couple holding hands. Maybe do something like holding doors open for strangers, without singling her out, of course.
If you really want to know about her, though, ask her aide about her while the girl is in the bathroom or something. If you want to be a good friend for the girl, talking to the aide should work out as an effective first move. And please, for the love of God, don't reference anything Watamote; don't make any assumptions about her while you're at it. If the aide likes you, you're free to get away with a lot more than if you hadn't approached her first. If you find the things the aide says endearing, you could pass a small gift like a chocolate candy or a pair of mittens through the aide, after talking with her a few times. If you can manage that, the girl will hear about the nice boy who gave her mittens. Just don't try to gift first and ask questions later; that's for creeps.
