Be Honest. You've eaten cup ramen recently due to this show, haven't you?
I'm joining the Canadian Forces because of GuP
Real life senshado
No. US cup noodles look and taste like shit compared to cup ramens in that anime
>Kore wa Zombie Desu ka
They got me
I can't, US ramen is too disgusting. I tried it for cheapness, but it was never good; and if I were to go more expensive and search out more expensive, good ramen, that defeats the point of cheap cup ramen. It's lose/lose.
I'll just make my own damn noodles. Maybe an Alfredo.
If I'm gonna eat something terrible for me it's gonna be a cheesesteak, fuck cuppumen.
I do like those shitty maruchan "yakisoba" bowls once in a while though.
Generally if I want nip food I just go to the asian market and get real imports, way better than the shit they peddle you at a regular grocery store.
No, but only because I prefer the kind that comes in those big rectangular plastic tins to the ones in the styrofoam cups. And I would've eaten it anyway, with or without enjoying this series.
They sell this exact brand of KAPUMEN at work, but with 赤 instead of 紅(both mean red), so I had some last week. I've had it before, but it just tasted better eating it while thinking about soulless dolls.
>implying you'll make it into armoured and get deployed
The difference is that the noodles are made out of wheat flour while Italian pasta are made out of semolina. Flour is a lot cheaper than semolina and it's easy to make your own noodles out of it while spaghetti and other pasta is complicated without proper equipment.
I don't mean to rub it in but I can't even begin to describe to you how much you are missing out.
It was a real pain in the ass to get all the ingredients but it was one of the best things I've ever made.
this is the recipe I used.
No, a sushi place makes them in the next town over from me. 8 bucks of 8 of them. The outside is crunchy, the inside batter is still moist and hot and the center is chewy. They put this caramel? like sauce on top.
Fuck, I guess I know where I'm going for lunch tomorrow.
>don't make it into armour
>do something else
Honestly I just want to join the CF. Armoured would be the best though
I'm in the middle of south central PA, Rural as fuck but there is this one sushi place in chambersburg that for some reason is just top fucking notch.
They've been there for 3 years and I've been a regular customer since they opened. They are so nice to me and I've directed so many people to go to their business.
Does not suck, Pennsylvania is awesome except for our cities. Harrisburg, York (Dauphin County in general), Philly, and Pittsburg are all shit. But the rural places are god tier.
In any case if you are near Chambersburg, go to Kenzo's off I-81 the Lincoln way exit, mile marker 17 I think it is.
I don't know the English name but there's a brand that roughly translates to fire chicken mixing noodles. Buul dalk beukun myun. Shit's the most spiciest thing I've ever ate to the point I vomited.
there is a reason why this picture exists.
Yes, but anime food always influences me.
If there is a Curry night episode then I eat curry the next day while I watch anime
If there is sukiyaki, I take out my electric grill and eat grilled meats while I watch the days anime
If there is steamed buns, I make some the same day cause they're delicious
I also like to cook. Also I binge dinner cause I skip breakfast and lunch and just run on water all day so luckily I'm pretty skinny.
Some restaurants just serve defrosted supermarket takoyaki. Gaijin customers don't notice and enjoy it. It's not bad, just make sure to buy Takoyaki sauce, aonori, and katsuobushi along with it so you can top it off properly.
Yea, she makes it look so good I started eating Maruchan Ramen each episode.
I just hope I dont Pavlov's dog myself into wanting Ramen each time I see a Sexy Fox-Girl.
Ive already done this to myself for several other shows...
>I want out man
So move to literally any other county in Pennsylvania
If you wanna make the outside crunchy like that, just cook it per-instructions and then give them a good spoon or two full of vegetable oil and stick it in a toaster oven for 5 to 10 minutes until crunchy. It'll turn out fine.
Not that guy, but I work third shift unloading trailers on the weekends and go to college full time during the week. I got to wake up in 4 and a half hours to go to school from 9-6:15
Learn to cook OP. Pictured: delicious oyakodon. No, that isn't a condom, it's an air bubble.
I'm in montgomery, that chart probably doesn't count all the commuters because while it's not as bad as directly in the city, still a lot.
I run the self checkout at a grocery store.
Yeah, not every single one of them is bad. There are a couple of "the good ones"
But then again if there was a food that made me violently sick 90% of the time, I think I would just avoid the food all together
In anycase, lets keep this anime food related.
You know what I have never tried before that I see in multiple shows?
Fucking croquettes. Are they good?
>you will never eat dinosaur meat bones.
regular chicken a shit
but spicy chicken a best
not all of us a faggots in terms of being a homosexual. Yes we are all faggots in terms of being adult dweebs who still watch chinese cartoons in our underwear but anyway There is a difference between talking about anime with faggots online and inviting strangers to have private moments when you are nude and vulnerable. I mean shit, what if I was to say yes and have you bend down in front of me and just bash your brains in with a tire iron or something? Not everyone likes fags. I certainly don't, but I won't kill you over it. Some people would. I guess I just couldn't imagine taking a risk like that.
Oh I'm sure that /a/ has a large homosexual population. All I'm saying is that your screening process for who you want to fuck you in the ass should be more...rigorous other than "he posts and /a/ and lives close to me". Just for your own safety, that is. At least meet them in a public place and go on a date or something. But here I am actually trying to help out a gay person. I feel conflicted.
oh well then good,
In any case, have you ever watched an anime that had a prominent food item that made you want to buy or make said item?
If so, what was the series and what was the food?
I eat a lot more instant ramen lately since watching Kokkuri-san, but that's more because it's easy and I've been caring less and less to actually cook. I made someone omurice once because they said it looked good in anime, if that counts.
>that heavy as fuck breathing
>struggling so much just to slurp it up
>moans and starts making noises between slurping it up like a fucking lunatic
>constantly clearing throat and smacking lips
I love the taste, but it's too spicy and I regret buying it every time, because I can barely finish it.
What? They're just compacted typical Japanese lunch dishes. The presentation is secondary, and for stuff like convenience store bentos in Japan, hardly present.
this ramen is the shit... too bad they don't have it in the states
prolly can't get past fda inspection or something
>there's so little variety of instant ramen that i need to add more shit to a type i don't like or have trouble eating
I just think adding shit to instant food like this misses the point.
>i really like this flavor, if only it's more salty...
>o well, lost cause, since there's nothing at all that I can add to make it more salty
if you won't wanna bother, then fine, your choice, but just so you know, it's pretty common for people to add eggs and bok choy , as well as different seasoning to instant ramen
>there are people on /a/ who don't know how to use chopsticks
just use a fork like the loser you are
But can you use it the proper chink way?
I've been eating instant packet ramen on almost a daily basis for years. For at least one of my meals. I always mix in an egg to make it taste better. Too lazy to cook anything else and I have a cabinet full of packs. When I get tired of eating it I just switch the flavor and it suddenly tastes better again.
Though, eating just mi goreng gets boring after a while though. Often get myself to eat the other soup flavors just to keep a balance. Indomie is also getting expensive around here.
>Parents hosting Japanese girl when I visit for father's day
>She makes miso soup for us for dinner one night
>No clue how to use chopsticks
>Want to impress qt3.14 jap teen, will myself to learn
>MFW by the time I was finished my meal, I was better at it than my dad, who helped me figure it out.
>Eating with utensils
I did. We even had those weird soup spoons that Asians use.
>not eating liquified ramen
Still, who the fuck eats soup with a spoon in such a small bowl? I've never seen the Japanese do so. They all drink out of it like they're drinking tea.
Everything can be improved upon.
Because if you don't have a local Asian market you aren't going to find any ramen noodles at all that you didn't take out of an instant ramen pack.
Also look at the soup recipe they're telling you to use, it's a bunch of cheap low quality shortcuts. I mean fuck they're actually suggesting you use boullion cubes.
i remember back in China, there used to be this noodle place ran by these people of a minority race across the street from me, they'd make noodles by laying the dough on their head and chopping out thin slices using a knife on each hand
the shapes of the noodles look horrible but the texture is strangely good for some reason
>My parents stressed that she was to be treated as a sister.
And you DIDN'T knock her up? What kind of terrible brother are you?
I'm not too familiar with Shin Ramyun either, but going by other Korean noodle experience, those are really spicy on my scale. The tom yum one isn't as spicy as that but it has a little kick.
If you're just looking for spice that's not the reason for drinking tom yum soup.
I didn't suggest eating instant food, the picture did. He was asking why you'd use maruchan noodles if you were making your own broth, so I was pointing out that the broth recipe suggested is of similar quality.
Boullion cubes are basically just cubes of salt, you can at least buy a box of cooking stock if you're not going to make your own (which is admittedly a pain in the ass.)
Alright then i'll go try it then.
Shin Ramyun is pretty spicy considering how red it is when you finally cook it, and it isn't the powder coloring it's just spicy. It has good taste too.
Believe me, when they told me that, I was thankful they'd never heard that was a thing in hentai. To be fair, I doubt she was interested. have a pair of her panties in a Ziploc bag somewhere, though. Also, the memory of the upskirt she gave me when she crouched down to pet our cat, whom I was playing with on the stairs at the time.
RIP Catbro ;-;7
I already eat them pretty frequently before even watching the show.
I'm a sucker for spicy shit so pic related is what I buy most of the time, the soup is nice.
Suddenly the thread gets interesting.
On the topic of instant noodles, when I was in Korea I had the liberty of having several different brands of instant noodle cups, some ramen, some dry. Honestly, Shin ramen is still pretty much the best.
I'd like to also mention I used to cook budae-jigae which is basically ramen + sausages + kimchi +cheese.
American cheese with ramen sounds wierd but it oddly works.
All the cup ramen I can get around here is shit. I do eat the cheaper kind with eggs fairly often though.
Look up beanfish in Seattle.
It was posted here a few times when they were still using a certain artist's work on the site.
Indeed. They're nice.
Everything that ain't the original mushroom flavor a shit though.
>Mom bought the wrong one when she was doing her grocery shopping
>my tongue when Kimchi flavor
>It happens another time
>my tongue when
Anyone tried the one with the black packaging
Y-you don't need me to cook for you anon... the only hard ingredient to get is the kimchi. The rest you just stick in a pot and boil. Just be careful of that sodium intake though. Spam and ramen will probably give you enough salt for a year.
Seconding this, it goes great with 1 egg per brick and some sriracha. Just add the egg 2 or 3 minutes in and scramble it a bit as it cooks.
Best meal you can make for under 50 cents unless you're some kind of wizard with rice.
I can handle the spiciness, it's pretty mild compared to the stuff I've ate before, and I love spicy shit.
I just can't stand the taste and the fragrance of the soup.
Both my cousin and my mother agreed that the shrimp and kimchi flavor one sucks.
There. Forgive the quality. I took it on my 3ds. Had to take it in my bathroom, with a batmat behind it to make it stand out. Also, these were not given to me; I stole them from her laundry bin while everyone was out.
My favorite. It's very salty if didn't use correct amount of water.
Nigga wat ?
Sorry anon, I'm a filthy corean. You deserve a better waifu than me.
Is that a stain I see?
Have you washed them?
Also has anyone tried this god tier noodles?
>doing something because you saw it in a cartoon
Are you literally 8 years old?
Why can't I make it look that good?
God, I suck.
anime inspired me to learn to cook asian foods.
Since I live in a major Californian city with a large Asian population, I have ready access to all kinds of stuff.
I recently made Peking Duck over the course of a long weekend.
I roasted it slowly on a rotisserie for about 6 hours.
The thai one was great from what I remember, used to eat that.
Family used to go over to this place filled with thai shit just to buy it.
Been seeing it in the local supermarket, maybe I'll buy it again.
The packaging looks small though.
Is omurice any good? Also it lookes like you folded your chicken rice into an actual omelet, the presentation you see in the picture you linked to and shown in anime is the egg sheet draped over shaped fried rice and tucked under a bit.
This video has instructions on the presentation.
I'm far too tall and masculine to fit into a wedding dress. Unless you're into that kind of stuff.
Its really good, especially if you use kimchi + fried rice. Ketchup is actually not required and may make it too sweet.
Where my udon niggas at.
cups too spensive.
OG maruchan packets representing
>pop in raw egg yolk
>it goes just a little hard before the soup has cooled down
>that delicious consistency
ok. This is all I have atm
Almost died at 31, due to a subsected aortic aneurism I supposedly ad since birth. 33 now. Not really worried.
It's moments like these that I remember why I still browse /a/.
Will you consider doing this but with ramen instead of curry?
>do some random googling
>The JSDF has their own custom cup noodle
To elaborate, kimchi in restaurants in Japan are really rare. If you see this, it's because the owners are either Korean, or a lot of Koreans pass through the area. This is what we call gook-heaven.
No. I do get a craving for ramen noodles every now and them but its rare, like ones every 3 or 4 years rare. Or when Im dead broke and cant afford anything more than ramen noodles.
Problem with them is that they give me extreme gas. So I dont eat them unless I have to or really want to.
>this means the japanese love kimchi
The Japanese aren't in any way against Korean food, they eat plenty of Korean dishes, but kimchi is very much not a favourite in Japan, nor is it often seen.
>the feel of a warm bowl of noodles on your lap
>that last mouthful of the soup with all the tiny little scraps of noodles
Something like pic related I guess?
Why would you waste a perfectly good cup of noodles for your dick?
The soup would give you third degree burns and onto your pants.
That one doujin had the girl stab the dick with her chopsticks.
>that feel of greasy, oil broth
>that feel of soggy noodles and scalding soup
>that last mouthful of soup that is so extremely strong in flavour that its like drinking a cup of seawater
No, you drain the water and cut a hole in the bottom of the cup. Don't ask me about why people do it though, doesn't feel nowhere near as good as a onahole.
>Not eating superior cup nude
>takes too much time
3 minute boiling time average
literally pour water into cup, unless you have parkinsons there's no way you can fuck this up man.
>complains about fucking cup-men taking too much time
clearly you don't really like cooking. nothing you can actually cook takes less time than that.
Godamit for some reason I was expecting a picture of the cute cat and not panties
>watching this with headphones
