What's his remuneration?
He had none idiot, he isn't a contractor
>tfw no season 3 with chinese eletrical batman and lesbian jedi catwoman going on adventures
Why are they so good together /a/?
You literally posted that 10 seconds before I was about to.
His sister has to sleep. So does that mean that the more he uses her power, the longer she's trapped away inside of him? How did she even end up in there? Season 2's ending must be perfectly logical compared to the clusterfuck that went on at Heaven's Gate.
That picture is not good for my heart
S2 sold better by a lot
Suou > Amber >
November 11> Yin
In the gaiden, Yin develops emotions as she becomes more than a doll. Her and Hei fall in love, but Yin's ghost takes on its own personality, becomes more powerful, and eventually gains the power to control other contractors and use their powers, seemingly for the purpose of killing them, though it has no qualms with killing humans as well. Eventually Yin tells Hei to kill her as Yin's ghost takes full control of her and starts rampaging before going comatose.
In the second season, we learn of a prophecy laid out by Amber, that when Izanami and Izanagi they will give birth to Kagutsuchi and the world will be destroyed.
The entire season has Hei seeking out Yin to fill her last request. Shion turns out to be alive, and that Suou had actually died long ago and is actually a "slightly altered" copy of himself, she was a test to see if a copy could continue to exist permanently using the power of the meteor shard and the test was a success, without it, she died.
Shion, Madame Oreille and the ME system using the doll network were all part of a greater plan to create the "Ark". They would gather all the information about the world then feed it to Shion. Shion however was not powerful enough by himself and he goes to meet Izanami (Yin's alterego) by himself, where he cuts a bargain with her. He will die and create a clone of her using his power, if she will also use his power to create the "Ark" which turns out to be a second planet Earth without gates or contractors, with copies of everyone, including Suou living happy and fulfilling lives. Shion then dies and Hei comes along and kills Yin then walks away, his duty fulfilled. Shion, Suou and Yin and Izanami are dead, but the copy Shion made, a male Yin/Kagatsuchi awakens and has the ability to indiscriminately kill humans, like how Izanami could kill contractors. The series then ends implying that Kagatsuchi causes the the destruction of all humanity and the end of earth one while earth two lives on.
None; he's not a contractor.
His sister residing within his body at a quantum level (lolscience) likely undergoes remuneration when he utilizes her abilities. Given it was falling asleep, you could interpret the in-universe effects a few ways:
1.) Her new existence as an incorporated aspect of Hei's being keeps her "soul" (as commonly thought of in Japan) in a perpetually "rested/asleep" state, meaning she doesn't have to pay her remuneration while she's bestowing it to her brother.
2.) He does pay a remuneration in an offset form: abundant eating. It could be seen as "refueling" his tired body, and in another sense, restoring the "energy" to the "tired" sister residing within, whose power he's channeling. As such, her altered form and presence within him also changed the form and function of her remuneration, as the replenishment of his body through huge caloric intake might translate into the restorative effects of sleep for his sister.
3.) Who gives a fuck? It's a story about an invisible/incorporeal entity residing over Japan that provides supernatural abilities to certain individuals at the cost of their empathetic/sympathetic experiences and feelings of moral allegiance. I'm fairly certain scientific/logical consistency wasn't paramount on their list of concerns whilst making the show.
Now it's been quite a few years since DtB became a big thing here. Has anyone else in anime beaten Hei in the collarbones or turning anons gay department?
>at first, just saw suou laying in the fetal position
>then, saw her sniffing what appeared to be hei's clothing
>then, saw the shlick
>dat feel when someone uses a gif you made.
Honestly though, I enjoyed season 2 until the last 2 episodes, when it became apparent that the show needed another cours to properly tell its story. DtB2 was cursed by the year it came out: the year of everything must be 1 cours. Damn 2009: the worst year of anime.
>Hei only spared her life because of meat buns
Man, all of you have shit taste. Hei's sleepy sister is the real best girl of the show. Like a living onahole. I know a similar principal applies to Yin but it's just not the same.
Literally the only bad thing about this ED is that the ending of the chorus sounds just a little off because they had to shove the words DARKER THAN BLACK into the lyrics in somehow and did it pretty artlessly.
I think I like every ED equally though. They all have their own charm to them.
>mfw Tanya got decimated by that anti-tank rifle
>did you like those pretty generic powers that were used in creative ways in S1
>here's a protagonist who summons a completely normal anti-tank rifle with stock footage
>who never shoots it at anyone because she's a retarded pacifist
Reminder that Hei has lost everyone he has ever loved
He lost his sister, he lost his girlfriend, he lost his doll, he lost whatever Suou was to him, he lost everything
Shikkoku no Hana was the season 2 we never got, I hate you so much Bones.
But Yin didn't die. Hei isn't exactly benevolent, so I don't think Hei would have let Izanami live in that shota clone body if she did.
Well technically his sister didn't "die" either, but she's pretty much gone.
why couldnt season 2 be hei and burger kun broing it up?
i'd like to have sonic's speed and eat burgers all day
It's intimidating as fuck but if you have a ranged contractor power or even just a GUN you can just fucking cap her ass because it's not like she's going to make a particularly powerful shield out of bugs.
If you think about it, Hei (in season 1 only though) was one of the most fleshed out, interesting and well written character in newer time.
Definently made for a good experience watching.
Is s2 bad enough that I shouldnt even bother?
You really shoudn't, there was a good fight or two and the soundtrack was bangin. But you could find both those on youtube without wasting your time with the massive pile of shit.
The story and particularly the ending. Characters that were developed and important in the first season were discarded in favor of a magical girl with a rifle. I will not spoil the ending for you, but it least a disgusting taste in your mouth.
