Where's gg? Where's Mazui? Where's UTW? Where's Eclipse? Where's Coalguys? Where's
Is fansubbing as we once knew it dead?
Pls UTW don't die just yet ;-;.
Honestly, who is even left? FFF? Commie? Jesus. Some nee groups have been showing up and doing good works like Kaylith but they are few and far in between.
>now wait till the japs till them the secret of making streams not-rippable.
That means we'll finally be free, free to go live life outside. A terrifying future, but it could be for the better.
Mazui: with CR subbing anything worth doing this season, we're taking a break. Though, you may see a movie or two from us...
UTW: Kara no Kyoukai Extra Chrous? Stalled at Raze being dead. Seitokai Yakuindomo Bleep? Stalled at translators.
Coalguys: last post Sept 2.
Hadena: We are going into Hiatus cause our translator had to leave for some important job that he had. We will start work from maybe spring 2014. Well, our donation drive was the last one for this year, to cut cost we are shutting down our processes.
And as for gg, who gives a fuck?
I still have my backlog, fuck bitches.
But seriously CR helps them and kills them at the same time, some groups just edit CR and other don't release at all because CR is watchable enough, at least most shows still get a group or two to edit CR scripts etc.
Anime is already dead, time to work on my VN backlog
>film it with camera
>upload cam-rip and sub it
I would sooner watch low quality videos than go to CR for all my anime. Definitely not worth sitting through ads or paying a fee. I'd rather it have lower sound quality and a few pixels and be free.
hah. man, i thought i was off the hook for that....
i was kinda burnt out and was tired of editing it, so i put off those eps until it was too late. i'm sure i still have the script files around somewhere....
>gg said they would be here even after the world ends
>people keep saying Commie is still alive
You guys are joking right? Over half their shows are a month behind, and they've been firing staff left and right.
Face it, Commie will be gone in a season or two
There are still some that CR didn't simulcast though like Jinsei and Yama no Susume 2. I wonder what happened with the later one, this season is almost over but CR still hasn't put up later episodes.
If they can't get shows out because no one on their staff gives a shit then they're effectively dead, people will start avoiding them even more than they do now. They pick up a show them stall it for months, then eventually finish it when everyone's forgotten about it
>no one on their staff gives a shit
Except Commie still has a handful of people who do care (and get releases done on time), and I don't see them retiring any time soon.
been living in the african bush, i'm retired from everything except hidamari sketch with nutbladder whenever we get another season
yup. not sure what most of us are doing now, only keep in touch with a couple
Why do people say that horriblesubs killed them?
It's not like there isn't unsubbed material out there. What about specials, OVA, movies, old shows,...?
If those guys stop subbing because they don't get enough attention from the popular shows, they're idiots.
if it was any kind of hard work then these nerds wouldn't be doing it for the ungrateful masses for free. The only ones who put in actual work are the ones who do shows where they can't just edit the CR script. Like they did with joshiraku for example, im pretty sure that was a hard show to sub.
Has there been a subgroup who subbed out of benevolence?
Thank you horriblesubs!
