I'm in a similar situation, living in a place where the whole country has a <4 CG studios and even those are super small and don't really hire afaik.

The only difference is that I started doing 3D a few months ago but I don't know if I would be wasting my time trying to make a career from it.

Pack your things, buy a ticket to any decent 3d/gaming country (UK, US, Norway, even France) rent a room, get a shit non 3d related job to eat. Spend nights making a 3d portfolio and send cvs everywhere. And get ready to pack your things again and move again. That's what I did.

You have been given a serious answer, and it's called porn. The Western porn games market is severely lacking in actual games, and as such you could easily receive 200-1,000USD a month for a good setup. The fact that you don't want to commit to porn Pajeet is no problem for me, but when I tell you that these fags are making 5K, 10K, 15K, and 20K+, you best believe that the market is still fresh. I guarantee you could pull out 200-300USD from your asshole a month if you create a barely competent prototype involving cute girls/furries.

If you're in such a struggle I once again suggest porn. But since it looks like all you know how to do is kitbash, perhaps you need to just die in your favela. I suppose the other option you could choose to do is make assets for Unity/Unreal, as I have a Russian friend who makes around 1K/Month on the marketplace. Sell your shit. Contact people on the internet that you want to sell your shit. Put your stuff on the net, Unity store, Unreal store, etc. Make a webpage, Twitter. Link all your stores webpages etc.

If you have moderate to good advertising, self promotion and networking and are not selling anything, you just need to get better at creating quality work.

It's not that complicated. The level you have to reach is constantly rising as new people enter the field. If your level isn't high enough you won't earn any significant money with 3D, simple as that.

I was going to link Breeding Season's patreon page but evidently it got cancelled or moved or some shit, anyway they took in 5 figures a MONTH in donations.

Play some hentai games, and also those two flash games, to understand the appeal. Basically you have game mechanics that are somewhat of a challenge, but give regular porn rewards, but also make you work just a little bit to get "even more".
If you make your character assets modular (in other words make your own character generator for your own use) you can make people's fursonas and charge them a ton for it.

It depends in what field of 3d you want to work. if you want to work as a character artist for a company, just having zbrush characters in your portfolio isn't gonna help you that much, especially kitbashed stuff.In fact a lot of people dont get jobs in the industry because they don't understand how their portfolio should look and what it has to contain. Just look at what they require in their adds and if you have that and send your cv to enough of them I'm sure you'll fin work:
-good anatomy and understanding form (have in your portfolio anatomically correct human and animal characters to showcase anatomy knowledge)
-cloth(learn to sculpt cloth or learn MD)
-topology and uvs(showcase a wire render and uv layout to show them you understand those things)
- texturing pipelines(substance painter/ quixel and or Mari is a must now a days)
-show a FINISHED character, preferably displayed in marmoset to show them you understand the pipeline and can integrate in real time

If you want to be a digital sculptor, you have to get a lot better. Search Caleb Nefzen for an idea where you need to aim
