Hi. You may remeber me from the Duke Nukem tread a while ago. Back then somebody asked me to provide an OBJ file for experimenting with texturing and stuff. It't a work in progress and there are minor geometry issues, but you can get it here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/snes9l/files/e3l1.zip/download
All the entites are separate and should have useable texture coordinates, so you just have to set up your own materials.
Let me know if you think it's useful or not, if you want more, if there are bugs, ideas.

how could i forget such a god damn superstar
Omg keep it up dukeguy!
A quick example just to show that it works. A couple of original bitmap textures and a procedural one on the same scene in Blender using the provided UV coordinates.
For reference, that's how that scene looks like rendered in Povray. it's for those who liked my previous thread.
Just another experiment. I've installed Trenchbroom and I love it. Modeling with it is almost as nice as in the Build engine, but it's much more capable. You can get it here:
http://kristianduske.com/trenchbroom/
Then I wanted to render stuff made with it in Povray with radiosity and stuff, so I stated working on a converter. It's still a work in progress but this one lets Povray do the CSG operations so it doesn't require any external tooling.
Next I'll add some textures.
And next I'll fix the texture coordinates.
Kinda like so.
The textures are from the Quake re-texturing project and are available uncompressed here:
https://github.com/Calinou/quake-retexturing-project
And in wad2 format here:
https://github.com/fzwoch/quake_map_source
And I think I'm almost done with the Quake map format too. All in all it was the simplest to convert so far. Trenchbroom is fantastic BTW. You have to try it. The actual game is not required.
Behold the scariest thing ever: nothing.
I call this my Quake-chen.

Hey! I'm the guy who requested OBJs. Thanks for this, I can't wait to play around with it when I get back from my vacation.
