Any good /3/ magazines? Looking at 3D creative, 3D World and 3D Artist right now because some have introductory offers.
Also considering Cinefex but I find it hard to get excited about most modern Hollywood films.
> but you can get the same info online for free.

i too would like to know. 3d world and 3d artist just gives generalist crap thats more of a showcase and less useful for actually learning

I used to subscribe - but honestly those publications just rehash and recompile the best articles into special issues...just cherry pick the special issues which is maybe 2 or 3 a year and read off the stand each month instead of subbing. Cinefex use to be fun for me, same, just read it on the stand a couple times no loss - you'll learn who's who studio name recognition from reading it and techniques.
besides once you find a certain artist/studio from those issues - just note it down and find their article usually repeated on the web.
I remember posting art in 3D artists. It was so random I checked an email that I barely use and I got this message from a person who works for them. I sent them in one of my works and in the next issue there it was.
I'm being featured in the next edition of 3D Artist, so that is probably the best one.
