Name one program better than Autodesk Inventor.

>Easy to use for Beginners and Still has the tools for Professionals.
>Many Engineering Companies use it.
>Literally god-tier

It isnt art. And inventors creates either nurbs or decimated meshes that are way too dense for no reason.

There are specific reasons why maya/houdini/max are used instead of inventor. And how you dont see the obvious is concerning

Solidworks. It's basically the same thing, but I personally found it comfy. Autocad is better than sw drawings, though, even though sw drawings has dynamic dimensions.

You can use cad for hard-surface modelling, the mesh output isn't proper topology, but it's optmized as hell, also you can control the deviation of circles, so you can output rounded surfaces as high-res as you want.
Pic related a soviet style building I did in sw, then export as stl, only 22k tris, bear in mind all windows/doors have frames, there are holes on the top of the building and a metal grid in the middle stair floors. Planar decimate only reduces it to 19k, but I don't know what topology it fucks up. I'd say for hardsurface modelling of static objects, cad programs are very nice, they are fast at it as well, you don't need to constantly care about your topology and you can implement real-life measures.
