People tried to do a writethread on here at least once before and it died because people weren't able to connect requests to appropriate writers. I made a big titanpad sorted by source material (comics/tv/anime/OC/etc.) to keep all the requests organized so writers could find stuff that interested them but no one wanted to fill anything.

The thing about 4chan is that board concepts are designed to be broad. This allows for a variety of subject matter and is good for discussion. Not so much for general content creation. If someone fags for a specific character/series/fetish, they're usually in a thread for that specific thing rather than sitting in a general where they're constantly rubbing elbows with shit they don't care about.

The only longterm successful dedicated writethread I'm aware of is the one on /d/ (/efg/) and that's because they have people who post story updates EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY. But even then, /efg/ has a significant number of posters who are only there because apparently their writethreads got exiled from /tg/ and are averse to /d/ content, which means that most of the conventional /d/fags won't post requests or content there and will do it in their specific fetish thread instead, bringing me back to my original point.

It's a hope for the best, expect the worst situation, to be frank. If it makes you feel any better, I should be posting a mass of hideous, violent debauchery within the next 3-4 days. Pic related.
