You would be a lot better handling this project than working with him but it is not like there would be nothing to gain from working with him at all. It would certainly bond the two of you but the project is likely to be given up for an alternate idea or other project that you two think of while working together. He will convince you to give up this specific project for another or it won't come to for some reason. This could always change now that you know what is going to happen.

Then if you do it by yourself it is going to add more shit to your plate of things you need to do and feel as if it's a constant drain. It will take up a lot of your energy and free time. For some reason there is going to be a need to focus on it constantly. With the other person doing it you won't have to put as much energy into it while he does it, but this method gives you complete creative control and less stress of worrying about mistakes. Having complete creative control will allow you to discover things. You are more capable but if you are sure on this being the token project I would do it by yourself.

My advice is to discuss other ideas for projects he had for the intent of your work because we don't know if his "new and improved, different project" will really work and at least you will know what you are getting yourself into. One of the rare cases of greed paying off, don't settle for less and even though you got waht you wanted in it all, why stop there? The idea of clinging onto what has already been obtained but upgrading to a larger loot sack to carry even more goodies. Just because of that I'll read it, good taste m8. Justice is underrated, it's blind and harsh sometimes, but a worthy ideal to hold onto even if it bites you in the ass from time to time.

It's easy to get rid of in one sense, hard in another. Seeing someone at a funeral watch as they shovel dirt over the casket. Shovelfull by shovelfull the issue is buried so to speak. Or at least in some sense, things will have a physical sense of finality to them, but it's the thought of what occurred there that lingers. It's a matter of time, coping, and sometimes outright ignoring or disassociating from the event. It's finalized to some degree over time, but if you dwell on it or let it linger in your mind it will persist long after it has been buried and over with.

tldr; seems like a situation where out of sight out of mind will be very applicable, however closing your eyes here is hard given the intensity of things at the moment. try not to dwell on it too much and let it get to you. The hardest part is, or will be over soon, from there it will just be a matter of mentally overcoming it and letting things pass naturally and heal over time by not letting it consume you.

Again look at the stock analogy there, when it seems like it's at a low, there's only room to go up or zero out. Oddly enough when things look bleakest it's strangely the best time for a hopeful outcome, it's a lot easier to fall generally speaking than rise up if you ask me, but once you're feeling like you've bottomed out, it's a lot easier to look up.

I get the feeling of tradition here, might mean that his family name is one with a lot of history or more simply that he's a bit more of the traditional type. Not a read but non sugarcoated advice is that the sense of self loathing and personal doubt never goes away, you can suppress it and fight it but even then it lingers and comes back from time to time, it's okay to fight it but know it;'ll be back from time time when you least expect it.

A lot of pursuit and back and forth, seems like it'll hit a point where you'll have to ask if what you put into it is being reciprocated. While the KanColle anime isn't the greatest thing ever, I can't hate it due to its respect of Japanese military history. Even though the ships are represented as cute girls, it's done in a respectful way and not a mocking or derisive way. You just don't see that in Western media.

I was 27 when I found myself single for the first time in over 9 years, and I found myself having to start over in all aspects of my life from nothing. For a while, I thought the same as you did. It's gonna be a bit more of a wait, the hope isn't dead mind you, but right now you're hardly up to it, or in the right state of mind to make it work. Think of it as more a blessing than a curse. Building a successful relationship tend to take a lot of serious work and maintenance. It's not unheard of, but in order to secure that kind of thing for long term plans a serious re-evaluation of how you do things and make life work is in order. It's not far off, but do the prep work now so that when it pops up you'll be above standards. Basically work on your ability to deal with life in general and make the most of it so that when someone else shows up asking what you have to offer, yiu have a lofty resume of life skills and whatnot so to speak.
