A traditional deck captures a specific moment in time, and the symbolism is quite relevant. The RW deck was constructed in such a way that each suit tells a story within itself. If the moment in time captured is different, the entire story could feasibly be different.

The “After Tarot” deck is, by its own admission, speculative, and the scenes represented do not carry the same connotations as the ones in RW. Take a look at the 4 of Pentacles. The appearance of the death figure has a dramatically different connotation than does the original 4P in RW. The Strength card in the AT deck has connotations of friendship, not dominance like the RW Strength. The Magician in AT shows power in use, whereas it shows a moment of preparation before the ritual in RW, which is closer to the meanings of creativity, creation, and ingenuity than power in use is.

You get completely different connotations from the AT deck than you would from RW. One of the exercises I have my students perform when learning tarot is to run through the story represented in each suit so as to see how the cards connect to each other. The entire connection between cards within a given story in a suit is completely undermined if the cards don't show the same moment. The cohesion is simply not there.

So, nice collector's item, but not a good deck to learn.

However, if we look at one of the major arcana cards, we got something pretty, and visually similar, but the boy in the pic isn't actually hanging. It's only by having an intimate knowledge of Homestuck and a cursory understanding of Tarot that proves that this even fits in a tangential manner.

Not to say that the homestuck deck is a horrible deck, but the creators of the deck probably didn't know any more than the average joe about a tarot deck when creating the deck.

And the 8 of swords as well, being someone blindfolded in front of a giant spider, honestly makes no sense with respect to the original meaning of the card unless you have the prior knowledge.

You've no need to worry. As I said, the best decks to read from are the ones you like, the ones that please you. You could even use the French gaming tarot pack with the standard poker pips and still be able to do effective readings. Just follow your heart and study from as many sources as you can for the Rider-Waite deck; you'll be fine.

It doesn't seem like she's aware of it. She seems to have a suspicion with respect to it, but she thinks it's something it's not. Her reaction when she actually finds out is quite mixed, my good man. She'll have a “wtf” moment, then she'll analyze it and go back and forth in terms of how she feels about it. By the time she finds out, she's already mentally prepared for something else, and reality being incongruent with her expectations seems to play a bigger part in determining her feelings on the matter than her actual feelings on it. I"m getting a cinematic like montage of a boxer hitting those bags in the gym. Sometimes I feel empty when I see them, and other times it feels like I'm right there.

This is pretty spot on. Before I asked for the reading I did myself a reading and my ninth card was Two of Cups,. 1st card was Ten of Wands, 5th card was Knight of Pentacles and 10th(last) was Death.
I'm getting the notion that the cards are telling me exactly what my father tells me when we spar. I need to focus on my intentions, have better self control, and will myself out of exhaustion.
A couple weeks ago when I spared with my father in the 7th round he was tagging me with punches relentlessly and I was exhausted. I felt completely helpless and couldn't lift my arms at all to defend myself. Until eventual the annoyance of being punched so much got to me and what began as growling and throwing some punch grew into a flurry of wild punches I was suddenly able to throw as I screamed at the top of my lungs. I was able to fight my way out of my helpless position but the round after I was even more exhausted than before and could barely fight.

I also have asthma and focus a lot on my breathing to keep myself in control. So that might be what you were seeing with the heavy breathing.

I've already had allegations against me that i was supposedly selling drugs to minors at a certain point, from there i was followed by the police for 2 weeks, not even kidding... Okay, anon. I've been exactly where you've been and I can totally relate. It's a shitty position, especially when you know you're capable but shit just isn't happening right. Looks as though you may consider leaving school again at some point. It'll be a very low point. After I pulled Hanged Man I meditated on why that may be and I got the feeling that it wasn't outside circumstances as much as you encounter some classes that you can't handle along the way. It felt like a mental block. A barrier that could be overcome, but something that just isn't clicking. The good news is that it is followed by the Page of Pentacles, which honestly makes me feel as though you recentered yourself, got the help you needed and with the Chariot, you finally push through and get back on track to finishing. The best advice I can give you is that if you feel like you may drop out for ANY reason, contact your advisor and ask for help. Reach out to the student union, anything. An old and dark apartment building, dirty green walls and dark red carpet along the hall and victorian styled pictures on the wall. Unlike the man, she doesn't notice the smoke neither coughs, she acts normal but the guy is certainly not feeling well and she doesn't seem to notice until he falls off the chair.

Well that's a pretty dramatic scene, what I can gather is the outside environment looks depressing, but inside, despite of the positivity, he's suffocating, something is affecting him but the woman (or you) are unable to feel. I couldn't see where the smoke came from, but it's not affecting the woman at all, everything looks fine for her.

This is something he's not able to process, he needs to vent somehow and might not even be related to you but seek what's burning in the house, that might be the cause. You may be too focused on seeing things on a certain perspective, an important detail is missing out.

I didn't feel this answered well, so I'll draw some tarot to find out the source of that smoke.
