I was going through the governments national parks website and they list certain "highlights" in a given park. If you go to their yellowstone page and click on web cams all you get is a picture of space. These picture('s) of space must have been purposefully placed.
any idea why?
>pic related.

Topkek, conspiratards will grasp at any and all straws.
As someone who's worked at a national park. I can tell you that it's most likely incompetence.
>>17344208
well incompetence is hard to believe when it would have to purposely be put into the website folder and then assigned to a certain area.
>>17344199
how much are they paying you?
>>17344236
People just don't check those things usually. Some dumbass just says K everything is cool and people go with it until someone looks. File a report. If it doesn't get fixed within a couple weeks then maybe there actually is something happening.
>>17344254
It was done by trolling or outrages incompetence. this doesn't "just happen" when you create a website.
>>17344263
That's exactly what I said.
>>17344272
You didn't mention the trolling part. And that's less far fetch than someone "accidentally" uploading a picture of space to put in a coding bracket of a specific area of a national park.

It's a Webcam though isn't it? They could have been off by a decimal for where it should be pointed. Or maybe the camera got bumped. There's any number of things why it could be pointing off into space but least likely seems to be anything with real motivation.

the stream "Old Faithful Geyser Streaming Webcam" has a working webcam. It's a webcam of outer space...

Maybe it was to attract people from California and cities who can't see the night sky because of pollution/light pollution.
>>17344396
can Californians actually not see stars at night because of pollution (chinas pollution)?
>>17344191
>>17344477
Light pollution, mostly
>>17344477
Good double, that's a full-house!
Big west coast cities have their own smog, China's got little to do with it.
>>17344518
Is it blown out of proportion? I though china was like 1/4th pollution from china.
>>17344496
what is this?
>>17344636
There's a few thousand miles of ocean between there & Cali though
Do an image search, it's a pretty good story, Manchester new years eve
>>17344636
California's pollution was 1/4(5th) china's fault*
Noticed i said china twice.
>>17344648
>There's a few thousand miles of ocean between there & Cali though
I'm well aware.
What does that picture of Manchester have to do with the golden ratio?
>>17344175
Are you sure that's not just static?
also, why didn't you post a link?
>>17344175
>. If you go to their yellowstone page and click on web cams all you get is a picture of space.
Probably because it's 2:00 in the morning and it's pitch black. The white spots are probably static in the camera.

Also there should be an eruption in about 1 hour
