Ok so theoretically time. our world has never had any contact with any extra terrestrial life of any kind, the government is not covering anything of that sort up. But we are exploring still, and finding new planets and things in space etc. So what if we were to bump in to a full civilization of other beings today, or tomorrow or whenever? what are the realistic odds of us hearing about this? like best case scenario, they're all friendly and technology sharing and resource helping but would our society be able to deal? or would we not even get the chance?

if the goverment hides them that's prob a good thing, evil aliens would attack us without contacting higher powers so..
People who could handle it are deeply minored by those who can't so it's for the best
