I'm writing a concept album having to do with the Flatwoods Monster. Tell me all the folk lore and stories you know about it. Also, post stuff about the Bridgewater Triangle.
>The Bridgewater Triangle refers to an area of about 200 square miles (520 km2) within southeastern Massachusetts in the United States, claimed to be a site of alleged paranormal phenomena, ranging from UFOs to poltergeists and orbs, balls of fire and other spectral phenomena, various "bigfoot" sightings, giant snakes and "thunderbirds", as well as the mutilation of cattle and other livestock.
Has anyone been there? What did you see? It's not far from where I live. The Dover Demon woods aren't to far from here either. Mass is a very spooky state.
Feel free to post about you're favorite folk creature, too.
>Live in New Bedford
>Went to profile rock at night
>Felt like I was being watched the whole time
>Hear afterwords people have gone missing going there at night and were never found
>a few year ago
>live in MA
>me and friend here stories of real kult shit in state forest
>dumb teenagers, we go in to play guitar and be kumbaya
>there's a big central lake/swamp in the middle of woods
>decide to go there, have to pass through spot where beavers chewed down all the trees
>find 2 or 3 dead beavers with no heads
>"i-its just coyotes, what kind of cut uses beaver heads r-right
>get to the swamp, hang out
>there's an abandoned building on the other side
>always wonder what it is
>decide to go deeper
>slowly get lost
>walking on narrow trails, the suns went down
>no idea where the fuck we are
>we start running, trying to retrace our steps
>suddenly end up in a small circular clearing
>no firepit, nothing. Just a perfect, raised circle of dirt.
>hear shuffling in the shrubs
>sprint as fast as we can is bullshit direction
>end upon path
>too dark can't see the path
>get to the end
>slowly figure out that were at the abandoned house
>friend is losing it' says he sees something in the windows
>wants to go back
"And get sacrificed or some shit"
>where else are we gonna go
>swear to god we see a person down the path
>flip the fuck out, run back to the house, run into a skinny ass psuedo-path
>full sprinting for a like ~15 minutes
>see a big gate, run past it
>out of the woods, but miles away from house
>literally in a different town
I asked him if I was crazy, but he said he saw thw same thing. It was probably nothing, but I was in extreme fear that night. We never went past the swamp again
I never heard that theory before. Do you have anything about it for me to read? I don't care if it's reputable, I just need more songwriting material. I was thinking of writing about the Hopkinsville Goblin too. I've like that story since I was a kid
