I was reading about dinosaurs on wikipedia and how they became extinct (k-pg boundary extinction) and all the sources I found are very vague. I guess most of us are told that a asteroid caused them to die, which sounds cool for a sci-fi plot but imagining white bearded professors to believe that is just plain stupid.
I must admit that I'm rather skeptic about macro evolution though.
1. Can someone point me to some scientific sources that there was indeed a mass extinction event some 65 million years ago?
2. Provided 1, it was caused by an asteroid - other than iridium is plenty in asteroids?
