It's all one big irony because this "office for planetary defense" is what we'll need defense from in the first place. Can't wait to see the show light up the sky, I'm just wondering if it'll be as bad as some of Hollywood's CGI.
I actually do want a kind of mild alien invasion, or just lots of ufo's showing themselves in lots of places in every country, so that people would open their eyes and understand that there's more.

Implying NASA could fund such a venture. >5 billion dollar budget a year... At the minimum it costs 50 billion to go to mars.. NASA has big plans in the future. And is using resources for said mars expensure.
