Sounds like a fever dream, honestly. They usually feel way more real than normal dreams, and leave you feeling strange emotions over them. The thirst thing is very common for fever dreams as well.

I've never thought it was so much knowing something was watching you as it was just a general feeling of undirected fear or suspicion. "I feel like I'm being watched" just meaning you're uneasy with your surroundings and expect something to be around you somewhere. Unless there's some actual meme your talking about, I can't keep up with half the shit the internet churns out as memes
