What's going on in these huge forests of Russia where there is no human around in a radius of 100km?
It is, I'm an historian that specializes in Slavic history and have been to a lot of remote places in Russia. Have definitely experienced some strange stuff. Nothing radical...More like too much implications to be dismissed.
> mfw cocktease
Okay. I'm too bored and sleepy to describe in details. So...
> The absolute vastness of the taiga is mindblowing.
> You have a feeling that the land goes on to infinity and in a way it does...
> From watching maps you have a feeling that siberia has a northern shoreline.
> The truth is that if you were a superhuman you could walk to Canada on foot...
> A lot of the land is unexplored and few dare to try.
> The people that try just vanish and never turn up again. Swallowed by the primordial forests.
> And when you do try to explore. Like I did. You gatter up a bunch of historians, folklorists and ethnologists with a death wish and just go.
> And by go I mean bounce from city to town, from town to village from village to settlement and then you try to locate a tribe.
> For the usual reasons. Food, water,to document, directions and stories.
> Sometimes you find a village before you run out of half the supplies and are forced to turn back.
> Sometimes you find a person who speaks Russian in the village
> Sometimes they tell you high tales of monsters, deamons and gods...Show you rituals and symbols...
> Sometimes you find a village but its empthy...No one there...Only a few symbols carved into wood, stone or metal. Usually with the meaning of "Turn back" you dont argue
>Those times you feel like someone is watching you. You sweat cold...
> Other times you find monoliths and obeliscs in such remote places where humans simply cant live.
Sorry for being vague.I felt like it. Theres more but for that id like to talk with you not just tell a story.
>in the deep parts of Russia there are people who don't know the USSR no longer exists.
>in the deeper parts of Russia there are people who don't know the Monarchy no longer exists.
>in the deepest parts of Russia there are people who don't know the "Mongols" no longer exists.
>in the subterranean parts of Russia there are people who don't know the Neanderthals no longer exists.
Allright... I have stumbled across them in such remote and unassociated places in the forests where Cherdyn used to be,Swamps of central Siberia, Northeast of Norilsk on the far NE "coast" relatively near Alaska. On the platos west of Essay. They are allways located in such remote places where no aperent civilization existed but they obviously hint that someone must have built them. They are as tall as a light pole some are taller, round and argiably smooth. Those thet were sheltered are amazingly smooth. As far as we saw they had no markings except those mafe by natural influences. They might be comperable to trees or pillars and thats the reason why they are really hard to find untill you stumble uppon them. They might be shrines or orientation marks built by a far bygone civilization. They might be used in some way that rational thinking may not comperhend...Who knows... I have also heard od similar objects being found in the Ghobi desert in Mongolia and China.
You could probably find some tidbits or pictures yourself by searching on the internet. I think.
I actually really love Lovecraft. And have read the Mountains of madness, probably one of his best works really made me wonder what might be out there. I hope I could mount an expedition to the South Pole one day...
They are various symbols of the many indigenous peoples and natives. Basically their pictographycal languages. You could probably find them on the internet. I cant bother to take pictures of them this late at night... Its 2:33 here.
Well you see I basically believe in everything that a human mind can think off, if it has even the slightest roots in reality. Untill I can prove something does not exist im going to assume that it might exist. Including some things Lovecraft wrote about. Thats probably the reason why I havent lost anyone out there, because I allways try to play it safe.
To answer your question. There is not one legend that I could pick out. You have to understand that the natives I talk about range from Slavs who cling to the old religion,Somis that are of Ugro-Finnish origins,Mordvins,Bolghars,Altays,Uralics,Tatars or various other peoples of the Mongolian origin some of who still believe in Tengri... The only legends that connect them are those that talk of "spirits" of nature which maniest in many ways. The Slavs talk about Rusalkas that inhabit the many ponds and lakes,Wawkalaks and Gvozdenzubs...Yeah they also speak of Dragons, but not in the way you would think.
Well as I said the Russian interior is vast. And beautifull Siberia is not the icy waste you would think it to be but rather an jewel of nature covered in forests, hills, lakes and rivers trully breathtaking...If you dont die that is. It is also unforgiving and cold in every sence. Hard to traverse and the lakes...It is easy to get lost and lose direction. But of the other parts of Russia I live in Novgorod one of the oldest Russian cities and have been to nearly every large city so yeah... I have also been to Crimea,Ukraine,Georgia,Armenia,Belarus,Poland,Germany,Czechia and Slovakia,Romania and Moldovia,Serbia,Bulgaria,Macedonia,Montenegro, Bosnia,Croatia and Slovenia... Which one interests you?
Depends...I guess a lot of the ones who do field work are. Its easy to be an academic bureaucrat from the comfort of your desk. But when you physicaly and psychicaly invest yourelf in your research. You start to percieve things differently.
I am so curious as to what happened here.
theres isolated towns and forts that dont know the ussr no longer exists...would be a good story/movie plot. In reality theres probably a few old cold war installations long forgotten and not much else except trees and animals.
The hikers got off course and camped on the side of a mt. they thought was safe. USSR were conducting alot of military weapons tests during those years in and around that area. Air burst missle goes off and the hikers bail on the campsite with injuries down the hill and a few try to go back up to the tent and freeze to death.2 die from hypothermia at the treeline and the others try to find shelter and fall into a ravine, dig out a hasty shelter and die.Forest animals eat a corpses tongue after the semi-thaw 6 months later right before the bodies are found in the ravine. USSR covers upthe whole thing because theyre the USSR.
TLDR: Dont get lost in the Russian wilderness.
Isn't there supposed to be something fucked about the Urals? Not the Dyatlov pass shit, but the mountains themselves? I thought I read there were certain areas that almost seemed to have been man made or something.
> Isn't there supposed to be something fucked about the Urals?
It's Russia, everything's fucked there
That is land of jotunns, volots and wolverines, do not walk there without mead as diplomatish thing.
That is well known Phasmatodea Ordinary from suite of Forest King Leshy (Cousin of British Green Man)
There's even a cult in Russia that worships Gadget Hackwrench.
There's a place in Siberia called the valley of death, and there are these big structures just lying around. They don't have any business being there, kind of like what another poster was talking about that the area isn't inhabited by anyone, and everyone who has been there to research has reported getting seriously ill not to long after seeing up camp. Some think the sickness is from these things giving off a bunch of radiation. Haven't read up too much on them, but I saw a shitty documentary about it a long time ago. Pic related
Imagine being lost in the woods of siberia, the only things on you are a small rifle with a bit of ammo, a thick coat and a tiny backpack with enough food for some days. And now you are wandering all alone in fucking nowhere, hungry, thirsty and scared and you walk into some furries. You would most likely shoot at it and realize that you shot at a crazy person in a animal suit. What a time to be alive.
BABA YAGA hahaha sick reference.
I read a book about a place where werewolves do not settle down and no non-werewolf could figure out why and then it turned out it was inhabited by a tribe of native american creatures like skinwalkers that are attracted to and EAT supernatural creatures esp. werewolves. Maybe its like that. No one knows why its so desolate but there is definitely a concrete clear and present reason its so.
>implying those arent remains of nuclear experiments soviets may have been working on and buried in the middle of nowhere
no its surely ALIUMS
hate that 'history' channel, makes people even more retarded than they already are
try reading about the subject, dipshit. These things had been discovered for decades by settlers before the industrial revolution was even a thing. People would be told of these things by their grandparents or other elders. they were known about as early as the 1800s, probably for centuries beforehand by the nomadic natives who follow animal migrations through the taiga and swamp.
and besides who says aliums?
a much more interesting and plausible subject are unknown human civilizations that have either been forgotten, undiscovered, or intentionally kept secret. I think humanity is a much more interesting and capable species than is given.
Here you go /x/
I totally agree with you about the history channel, it's total garbage, and everything is aliens with them. I still think these things are interesting though, especially if they actually give off radiation. Maybe some old civilization built them with lost technology, then died out because they didn't know shit about radiation lol
>What a time to be alive.
Furries have been a thing for more than 40,000 years.
Ever notice how wherever there are illuminati, there are also furries?
>Well you see I basically believe in everything that a human mind can think off, if it has even the slightest roots in reality.
>Untill I can prove something does not exist im going to assume that it might exist
Maybe that's why you don't have a real career.
>your muslim overlords
who's obama again? get a treadmill fatty
or even better, take that shitty gun of yours and blow your own fat laden brains out with it
america the land of cucks lel
Very interesting thread, I had never heard of some of the things written about in the website linked above, like the explosions, the cauldrons and all. I guess no photography was ever taken of the "out of place" metallic structures in the wilderness?
Too bad about the shitposting though, is this board even moderated?
living there without knowing about ww2
>>17210397 Sedov died in 2015, by the way.
Apart from forests there are also huge swamps. For example this one, probably going to visit it in summer, it's now that far away from here.
Who knows what kind of secrets it keeps there.
I def know you projecting homie, don't be scared. Come on to the land of the free and I will show you how to not be a betacuck
A muslim man pretends to be king here with no merit, while muslim men fuck your women. Well memed
fuck, this is even true in syrup land
>be syrup fag
>decide to go on nomadic hiking trip with GF
>it was roughly 6 months long
>boss fucking hated me and fired me after i got back, not to mention dealing with the missing person reports
>2 months in
>out of 7.62x39
>find a cabin
>check it out
>theres fucking people there
>a whole goddamn family
>thier all dressed really fucking old
>say hello, small talk for a bit
>we get some food and shit
>cooked on a fucking wood burning stove
>turned on flip phone after meal was done
>whole family is fucking amazed
>show them i can take pictures
>its like showing a magic trick to your drunk friend
>let the kids play snake on it for a bit
>talk with the family for a bit
>turns out they were there for the last 3 generations
>tell them about technological advances and shit
>theyre fucking amazed
>give them some cool shit as a gift
>they gave us lard, a hatchet and some mystery meat, definitly venison
>overall good experiance
its like i was a fucking alien to them, they had no clue what the fuck any of what we had was, and they knew nothing of canadian politics, hell they were amazed when i explained what they had missed in politics. imma look for that flip phone, and see if i can get you guys the pictures. we ditched the hatchet, it broke like 15 days before we got back to society
That Agafia. Heard her story before.
Raped by her brothers and father.
Truly a sad story.
>sends his two sons up north from them to live
>says it will prevent "incest"
>gets to low
>ears hurt for 3 months afterwards
>all the woodz and wildlife literally btfo
No, there isn't. Did you even read your own link?! "A" body means ONE, you fucking idiot.
Try reading it again. Pay attention this time.
so that means nazism has been around for at least 12000 years... it's amazing how racist people are really relics from the past!
we should really kill every racist except a couple of them so we can study them and make the world a much better place!!
You people crying about pol when ever someone says something non-pc on 4 fucking chan are just the worst.
You are shitting up every board with your incessant whining. From the 4chan community, please walk in front of a train.
You're gona love this:
For 40 Years, This Russian Family Was Cut Off From All Human Contact, Unaware of World War II
The guy living with her died last year.
When she dies, her family's legacy will be gone. There will be nobody to maintain houses, nobody to feed the cats and dogs, nobody to carry on and say "Yeah, I lived here". Pretty depressing when you think 20-30 years from now, the family who lived in the middle of no where will be forgotten and everything they've done out there will be erased by nature.
That has been the case for all of history. Think of all of your ancestors who have been lost to time. All of their trials and tribulations are nothing now, with the only evidence left being their descendants.
at least it wasnt a hyperbaric bomb where your guts get sucked out of you from the blastwave. like those dumb fucks back in the 50's in nevada.
its the only thing that keeps me going. i refuse to disgrace my ancestors by giving up like a pussy when they survived far worse and had managed to keep families going in spite of it all.
Even now these lands are completely unexplored.
Like the anon above described, it is extremely difficult and sometimes dangerous to explore these lands. Yet, from time to time someone would find some megalithic structures, altars or other artifacts that the official Russian history science just doesn't know what to do with and ignores.
If you go to Siberia - it is just like Canada - a small streak of populated land along the southern border and huge vast unexplored lands that could have anything.
There is an interesting theory about an ancient civilization previosly existing here that was later destroyed by some cataclysm. The thing is first Russian maps of these lands appear somewhere in the XVIIIth century. Ancient maps (XIII-XV century) show us huge cities in these places, where nothing exists now. It was as if something happened, these states just disappeared and later modern Russia was recolonozed by Europeans who were exploring these lands just like America. Seriosly, if you look at the speed of Siberia colonization, things just do look strange. Small forces would conquer enormous chunks of land in no time. If you start examining these maps you will see huge cities where there is now lakes, seas, barren frozen deserts or forests. What is interesting local Yakut tribes still have tales of the great flood in their folklore.
I've been reading on this a lot and examined a lot of ancient maps. The official Russian history science just ignores these maps or says European travelers have mixed things up or made things up to earn money. I now have a strong belief Russian history has been completely rewritten somewhere in the XVIII century as the country was rapidly westernizing.
try port headland, tefla, marble bar, kimberly or arnem land.....3000 KM from aywhere
so out there. Police not much power.
some abos can fucking levitate and shit.
One abo (spirit?) kinda chased the pickup truck by just sorta keeping up with it while just standing there right outside the passenger side door we were to 70 mph. Came out of a fucking billabong or something. We were warned of going by that fucking thing.
54c (that 129F) on a hot day in PH.
shit just going on boots mettled to tarmak as I walked.
a billion ants on my pizza in the morining...so many we just walked away from that part of the kitchen.
near full blood Abo stareing in the never never from the car park....mid day on one leg.
mate said abo just thought whiteman just passing through for a few thousand years....they were there 50K years ago and will be there in another 50K.
You could easily sustain a family for so few generations. The biggest concern is overlapping disease genes, which would require some luck to avoid, but only 3 generations isn't that difficult to believe.
I don't really believe the guy, being on /x/ and all, but his story is more believable than most.
>not exterminating the natives
who you callin' a pleb
you won't find discussions on this anywhere apart from some small Russian conspiracy websites, if you know the language, you can google it
also you can download a big pack of different old maps here, they all contain places and cities, mainly in Siberia and Far East that do not match the official Russin history: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/d65c03ec3101/%D0%9A%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%82%D1%8B%20%D0%A2%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%82%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B8/
This map is particularly interesting. It shows Muscovia with its own capital and Tartaria with its own capital (you can find Tartaria on many maps, western historians now say Tartaria is just a name for a land mass), but than why would a land mass have a capital? On different maps you see Tartaria in other borders, sometimes there are several Tartarias as if they are federal districts of one state. Tartaria ceases to exist on the maps around XVIIIth century, right when Russia started to westernize.
alright so what you're saying is that the werewolves are always agitated and people are like "hey pal come on have a sit down" and the werewolves are like "nO mAn FuCk YoU cYkA bLyAt!!1!???"
I went there, not in the wildest part, I was on the side of Archangel.. 400 kms east of that City more or less
and it's true that you see and hear strange things, but we have to be honest, it could be also all that nothing surrounding you
for example people exploring that Poles report similar things
when you are surrounded by a monotonous continuous ambient, maybe your brain works a bit differently
like a soft trance
this is my best explanation
You're a lying piece of shit.
This pic was taken by an anon's sister at a summercamp in France. I remember because I was there for that original thread.
Stop trying to lie to these Russians faggot, and don't steal someone's OC and pretend it's yours.
there was even a meme about them, things that no one remembers anymore, actually I believe it was before 2013
Mrakopedia.ru has a lot of stories about forests and shit.
If you can live with shitty google translations, here's some "forest" themed stories, based on rating.
Most of them are collected from 2ch creepy threads, some are translated from english creepypastas, there are some real good ones though.
Seriously, how the hell do I get onto one of these expeditions? Will I need a rich patron who thinks something is so crazy it just might work? Do I need to know more Russian? I know "cyka" and "blyat" and I'm sure that can get me pretty far.
Been keeping up with this thread the past few days. And coincidentally today I across some articles saying Agafia was airlifted from her home for medical reasons.
Quite a timely coincidence if you ask me. Considering I didn't even know about her until this thread started.
