OP here, I'll post a few of the stories, they're pretty short
Its from a friend mine that I met camping in Minnesota as a teenager
>be friend
>on the bus, heading up to the boundary waters
>looking out window
>bus is deep in the wilderness, miles away from nearest town
>see what looks like a large hairy shape in the woods
>grey fur, looks like a large, bipedal creature with its back to the bus
>blow it off, think I was just seeing things
He told me that he didn't think much of it until he heard other similar stories. I've suggested bigfoot or a bear, but he seems convinced it was a Wendingo

hers's the next story, its from a counselor I had at a camp I went to as a kid. Not necessarily Wendingo related, but cool none the less
>be asleep
>wake up because of huge lightning strike
> thunder shakes wide awake
>lightning strikes again and see a shadow where one shouldn't be
>lay awake for a few hours

I'll tell one more story for now. I heard this one second hand from the guy who told me the first story
>be night canoeing
>hear rustling in the woods on an island nearby
>about to paddle over when a huge boulder flies out of the forest and land in the water
>looked like it was thrown
>GTFO
