Been thinking of sitting down ant putting together a master YouTube playlist/channel.

Like a single hub channel with multiple playlists organized into playlists.
Don't get me wrong, I love the master list sticky, but I think some of those links are broken, and might be nice to have a on youtube channel to be able to brows through.

Would there be any interest? I don't think I would mind keeping it organized, but might need help to get the initial ball rolling with a dump of /x/ videos.

Its just computer virus effects but its spooky. Especially classic ones. Old viruses from the 90s were MUCH more deadlier than now, now its all just information theft. Back then its all about straight up trying to destroy as many computers as possible in a short amount of time.

Ok cool. Been working out what kind of categories would be good. Trying to keep it general enough where it will be easy to navigate, yet specific enough that it won’t just be one huge playlist.
Before I set this up, need to figure out a name. Not sure if I should stick with something simple like /x/ youtube playlist hub, or be a bit more imaginative.
Was thinking of something like “The Grey Library” or “The Midnight Archive” or something. Also considered the “Ne/x/us” but didn’t know if that was too corny.
Also interested in seeing what kind of content should make it onto the playlists. Most of it should be easy. However there are quite a few channels that upload multiple videos that might make it a bit tricky.
For example meat/meatsleep has multiple videos, should all of them be listed? Or just a few sample videos (whatever is considered the best of the channel)? What about other channels like it that might have more/less?
What about channels that have say ongoing series like Tribe Twelve (love it or hate it)? Just choose a few videos? A playlist all its own (The problem being that it would be a pain to keep it updated as these things go over the course of years)?
Perhaps a separate category of just “first episodes” for web based series? (For example the first entry for Tribe twelve, First entry Marble Hornets, first video of blablalba).

Trying to keep this as a utility. Something that should be easy to monitor and remove and replace broken links and the like. Something that can actually be updated unlike the Massive /x/ Dump.
I’m also going to see about keeping the channels tab/subscriptions open. Hopefully this will allow people to view channels in more detail.
Any thoughts or ideas anyone want to add?

Already have a decent backlog of stuff to add for an initial start, but want to make sure that there is at least a bit of planning before we begin.

Would the channel consist of multiple playlists? That way you could have different categories, say urb ex, pasta, series, scary/gory, strange/surreal, etc. I really like "The Midnight Archive", but "Ne/x/us" works too, however corny it may be.

I'd say for series go with the rule of 3 and post the first 3 vids. That should give someone an idea if they want to continue the series or not. With other things, maybe anons can decided which videos are the "best of" in a channel and that will go on the playlist.

Yes multiple playlists. A few I'm looking to start with are short films, music videos, ambient noise/audio (for stuff like creepy music that don't necessarily make a full song or number stations and the like), A couple for horror movie/video game trailers, Found footage/caught on tape stuff.
These aren't the limit, just a few examples. Like I said I'm shooting for keeping it tidy, yet general enough to catch most things.
Although I like some that you posted. Not sure what "urb ex" is.

I think I might go with the rule of 3 for series. That is a good idea. Although there are a couple that I can think of that it doesn't actually get going until a bit latter. Might just do that but skip a few episodes to get to some of the interesting parts.

I do want to keep it open for people to make suggestions. I can keep the discussion tab open, along with a email for more private matters. Hopefully this will stay mostly a community/anon effort. Don't mind doing the organization, but really need /x/ bros help locating content.

Urb ex is urban exploration. Things like finding an abandoned mental hospital and checking it out. I think there's a video on Forest Haven as one example. I have an album of pics that the anon dumped here once.

I'm working on the channel now. Mostly setting up the playlists and dumping some videos that I remember off the top of my head. Will start combing through favorites and such latter. Really could use people linking things they want to see in the thread here.

Debating of making a category for real footage as in actual gory/creepy thing that have been filmed. Think it should go in its own or general categories like gore and such?
