Most Masons are Christians, but in the Craft, everyone uses the term Great Architect because it's non-sectarian. Only in the "higher degrees" do you specifically refer to Christ in worship.

My father is a 33rd, and also a non-practicing Christian. You don't have to give away your faith, they just prefer referring to the generating cause as GAOTU because, like >>17169991 said, it's a non-sectarian term.
