Those flags are clearly fotoshoped, and they're clearly navigation flags.
>>
>>15318633
The source said to "turn it up, of course" so I tried to first speed the wav up and then later to increase its pitch. Couldn't tell anything from it though.
>>

it says kamikaze
>>
>>15319612
Same. How do?

There used to be a thing in source on page 2 saying u - munnich and p - mason but now it appears to have gone when I went back.

I'm on that one, and I'm messing around with the audio file in audacity (since the hint said to turn it up, which by itself did nothing except make it louder) and... I dunno. I tried turning the tempo up to max and messing around with the bass, treble, etc., I can hear what sound like words, but I cannot for the life of me make out what they're saying.

I then tried removing all the extra noise and isolating the stuff that sounds like voices, but it's so distorted that I can't make it out. "5 7 8 9?" Or am I mishearing it, or did I fuck up at editing the audio, or do I just have the wrong idea completely?

its in latin, just flip the page around
>Apparuit diabolus. Familia et amici dicesserunt moriuntur homines foris. Quaeso, adiuvo me, Date mihi possessionem Sepultura vobiscum.

>>15320364
i went to some native american language site and looked up the word mehtug which led me to this
http://www.bigorrin.org/waabu11.htm
typing mehtug instead of burial says in english. so we have to find the english word for mehtug
>>
>>15320364

It's the Massachusetts/Wampanoag language. Unfortunately, I barely know a word of it. If it helps though, the language does have a SVO word order, like English.

>>15320433

Mehtug means a tree. "Kenawun mos" is like "we will". The rest of the words I have no idea.
>>
>>15320433
it's "tree"
the page it leads to says simulation ended and doesnt give any hints so maybe that path is completed?

alright so they're batteries and the next riddle has this audio file
the source code implies its martian language so i sped it up in audacity but all i got was an admittedly funky song: http://soundgasm.net/u/diaperhead/thesignal

it was really slow on the page to the point where you couldn't make out anything
here it is sped up a little less: http://soundgasm.net/u/diaperhead/the-signal-2
>>
>>15320582

well in the source code it says
<!--They must speak a lot slower than us-->
which pretty much indicates we're supposed to slow it down
>>
>>15320607

I thought the implication was that they speak a lot slower than us, so we need to speed it up to understand them.

that means it's too slow to understand so you have to speed it up

OK, the filename is vigenere, an encrypting method that uses a password (Japan), when you put the code you get "precolonial nexus", any idea?

Well yeah, we need to get the username, password, "future" and something else. We need all four things, so we need to complete all four... simulations? Timelines? Whatever they're called.
>>
>>15321169

For reference, I've done 1624 and 1776, and am currently on 1258. So far I've got

>password:pestis
>future:4352
>>
>>15321169

<title>Access not granted</title><!--Order the codes chronologically-->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../style.css"/>

<br/><!--001011-->
<br/><!--110001-->
<br/><!--001010-->
<br/>Your future is currently denied</font></center>
<!--0 means don't use-->

There are four hidden codes in the source, but I don't think that they're binary.
>>
>>15321175

Wait actually, no, scratch that. I haven't done 1776. I've done 1624 and 1945.
>>
>>15321175
>am currently on 1258
I'm having real with proceeding from "boar". Something about finding the source of the image? What does that even mean, find the place the picture was taken from, or find something in the source code of the image?
>>
>>15321275

Just figured it out. Open the image in notepad. Look at the very last bit of text.
>>
>>15321283

>>
>>15321323
Wait, never mind. Fucking hell, that's hard to get.
>>
Now all we need to do is figure out that damn signal mystery. But no matter how much I mutilate the audio file in audacity, I get nothing.
>>
>>15316199
what do you do when it says click something? The hint is "its one of the computers"
>>
>>15321349
The hint says "not tempo, speed". Not quite sure what that means. Could someone just speed the whole damn thing up a couple of hundred hertz?
>>
>>15321528

>>
>>15321563

And if you remember the source code of 4352 >>15321176 there are a series of 1 and 0 which represent each letter of each code. idaltu would be "atu" and pestis "pes"; we only need 1776.

Yes, and the audio that plays on the page is those notes, albeit sounding rather close to the names of the letters.
>>
>>15316199
I just used google to skip to http://www.notthefuture.com/mason/1624/silkroad/
did i win?
>>
>>15321925
Nope. We're still working on it. Congratulations, you cheated and didn't even do it right. Now, do you have sound manipulation software so that we can get you to futz around with noises?
>>
>>15321923
what with the hint
"cab could be abcaca"
>>
>>15321937
also, in the source code:

"ignore the space"
"ignore the order"
>>
>>15321950
each letter is an addition of the 2 letters
so c = a+b a = c - a
>>
>>15321958
maybe....?
>>
>>15321958
so, b = ca = a?

CAB Could Be Abcaca could mean something?
>>
>>15321958
Adding the code at the bottom together doesn't get me anything helpful, though.
"c g b c g d g a d g"
(Spaces between letters for ease of reading.)
>>
>>15321975
thecapitalized letters could be what need to be deciphered, if it has to do with music I'll help, I'm a Music composition major, and theory is my thing.
>>
>>15321985
maybe its chained, like ab=c bc=e??
>>
>>15321995
I think we're going about this the wrong way. "CAB could be abcaca" might be hinting at initialisation of the words in the sentence. If so, we're missing something huge.

Also, has anyone looked at the static-y bit at the end of the audio yet? That's a bit we don't know about yet.
>>
>>15322011
That doesn't help either: "cegebbcegfdegfcbdfg". I will quickly check whether the spaces do actually matter, though.
>>
>>15322022
if frequency is letter, then wouldn't each note be a letter? i have goodrelative pitch so i could write the names of each note down from the wav if need be
>>
>>15322041
Nope. Nothing.
>>
>>15322052
It's fine, the notes given at the bottom are the notes of the wav. Online keyboards are useful, mang.

Also, slight addition to the daisy-chained addition, because I realised I'd forgotten to do the subtraction side of things:
"cegcbbcegbdegbabdfg"

Bloody hell, well done.
>>
>>15322095

How did you figure that out?
>>
>>15322095
make note the code is basalt
>>
>>15322113
cab could be abcaca

a - 3
b - 1
c - 2
d -

3(c) 1(a) 2(b)

abcd aa abcd b bcdb aa ccd works out to 6554.

Feed.

They were trolling us with the audio.
