Hey /x/, I own an acreage on a qaurter of land. About half the qaurter is trees and bush. I have strong supicision something human is living these trees (likely an actual human), but I am a bit weary it could be something else I'm not aware of.
I'm going to look for them tonight. I'm bringing:
>cellphone (going to use as camera as well)
What else should I bring?
Pic slightly related
Walking around at night in the forrest with an axe isn't very safe, you could slip and fall on it.
Found this is a clearing inside the forest. Little spooked. Made a makeshift /x/
I think I'm on their trail.
Before this uploaded I was continuing and a bear ran out of the trees. Luckily it was small and a black bear but out of fear of the mother I'm gonna backtrack and reroute.
This was not here before. I walked right past this bit before. What is this?
Found a new trail that came off the other path. Likely game but seems narrow.
Seems a bit redder. Made it to another small clearing. Forest seems to have lots.
Holy shit /x/... I found this. After taking a picture a bunch of laughter came out of it. I ran like the wind and the laughter followed with the sound of snapping branches.
After seeing a telephone pole through the trees I bolted towards it and ended up at an old but livable farm house. I'm in it right now. No ones home. But the laughers are gone too. Can make it home by backroads now. Hopefully safe.
I took a picture inside the house. I got a good friend to come get me. I'm uploading a video to youtube. I'm arming myself and going back.
> be me
> browsing Facebook
> see hot chick's status
> so now be hot chick
> with Bf
> pulling into ranch-house gate
> Bf tells hot chick to open gate like true hitch
> while opening gate, a rock hits the car
> hot chick looks in direction of where it came
> in trees, see boyfriend on tree branch
> mfw bf is still in car
> run back to car
> be home
> post on Facebook so dudes could tell me how they're here for me
I had outran the laughter. I could still hear some branches cracking far away, but I was close to shelter so I decided to video tape. You can hear a few branches cracking, but the laughing started again (I don't know if the camera picked it up) so I ran.
I get Friday and Monday off... I might make a weekend trip. Luckily I'm not sure if they know which homestead is mine, but all my doors are locked and my windows are shut. I might drive to town to borrow a gun from a friend. I told him there's been crime in the area lately. He bought it.
That's true. I know it would be anticlimactic, but I guess a reasonable man would notify the authorities. I'm a fan of resolving my own problems, but they're likely more apt for this one. I guess that's something I should consider doing tomorrow.
If there's any chance that they're Skinwalkers ( >>14984688 ) then there's nothing the police can or would want to do to help you, anyway. You'll just have to take care of them on your own!
if you feel like you're being followed afterwards, just make sure you don't lead them to your home. get in your car and drive into town for a bit. come home once you feel it's safe.
I ran instantly after the laughter. It sounded pretty human like. They kept up to me, in fact I wonder if they let me get away on purpose during the chase. There were no foul smells either, besides one pond smelling absolutely rank like something actually had decayed in it, but that was before I even was aware of there presence for sure. Doesn't live up to the typical stories.
I turned the volume up on my computer and interface to try and hear this so called laughter and all I heard was twigs snapping which could easily be explained as wild-life.
0/10 not even entertained
If I have a shotgun tomorrow I'm going again, balls to the fucking walls. If not it I could be reporting back Monday after planning a gunless mission with a knife. If I don't report back with pictures by this time next week I'm probably dead.
have you read or listened to david paulides and the strange disappearances in forested areas
if his information is correct and he is not exaggerating then you wont have a fighting chance or a chance to blog about it at all, only way would to have a constant livestream up with somebody archiving it as well
Probably some hobos. Remember that thread about the guy who went hobo for a few years? He talked about how he and his friends would live in abandoned houses in the countryside. They might have built a tree house or something.
legends about evil spirits that take over human bodies and do spooky things. they are said to be evil, but most of the stories just talk about them scaring people and smelling like boiled blood.
They can be shamans who wear the skin of the animal they're going to turn into.
They supposedly kill and devour any humans they come across.
But you're right, they usually employ scare tactics.
Probably not really "evil", just more like an asshole.
Just read the thread, interesting stuff.
I live in the countryside of an Asian country, and been through my share of unnerving things. Nothing like OP's story though, but just the bears are already a huge inconvenience.
I'm at work. I slept well last night. No interruptions or signs of trespassing. I'm confident these fuckers don't know where I live. In my spare time I found some arial maps of the area. I think I know an easier and possibly less risky route to the area the shack is at. Depends on the dates of the maps and the growth of the forest though.
Likely going again tonight (in 4 or 5 hours).
Op be careful. Be careful with you gun, keep it concealed. And try not to look like you're carrying.
I with you lived closer so I'd help ya.
Here's a pic of one of Canada's greatest.
OP here. I'm going to set out in 10 minutes. I'm packing light. Something small to defend myself if it comes down to it, but I'm going scouting for information hoping that this direct daylight will add to my stealth making me unexpected.
Game trails are much narrower than human trails, brah. Deer are skinny like no shitting. Dunno how the niggers walk on such narrow trails. Anyway, a human made trail is much wider than deer made, so if it's that narrow it's a deer.
Apparently at some point there was a fence around here... In the middle of the forest.
This alternative route takes a bit longer but I think I'm getting close (10-20) minutes away.
For some reason I keep getting connection errors so these images will be resized. When I get home I will upload the full resolution size if wanted.
Picture doesn't do it justice, but a den of some sort. Could he naturally formed but the drop underneath the sticks is about 2 feet. Should be fairly close now. No sounds or warnings in the bushes now.
Looks like a trailer to me. What the fuck? How did anyone ever manage to get a vehicle out here?
I could hear something in the woods pretty far off. I couldn't tell if it was human or game, but I stealthed the fuck out of there. Noises in the woods kept occurring but they didn't seem to be any relation to being followed.
Here's a still from the video I took. I'm not home yet, but I'll upload it once I am.
>mfw it was actually just a slightly animated wallpaper
I was making a vague Aqua Teen reference, but honestly I don't see why not. With a camera capable of a decent flash and something to protect himself, maybe whatever it is OP is feeling stalked by will feel more compelled to present itself under cover of night?
Nice trips. I don't hear anything but your feet moving on springs. Sounds like some audio interference near the end though. Cellphones are tricky because the way they are held or fingers moving can ruin audio.
Like I said the video doesn't capture it, but something was moving in the trees around me. I could hear it in the window. I might be stupid enough to enter, but not to stay and meet the owner.
I haven't made any plans that don't involve acquiring a shotgun yet. Sadly I hate to admit I don't have a FAC (canadian thing) so getting one isn't going to be the easiest to do in a timely manner. I might book myself into a course this weekend if I still can so I can hit it up at the start of next week. If that becomes the plan I might go visit relatives for the weekend or get out of the area for a bit just for safety sake.
i could only hear the sound by maximizing the volume with headphones on. it didn't sound like a laugh or human in origin. it almost sounded out of place, like an inserted sound effect, but still pretty chilling to hear. i'm no expert on noises innawoods but maybe it's a large bird sound or a canine yelp. i can confirm some animal noises are 4spoopy2me.
Yeah, that's not exactly how the law works.
I can't get pulled over for speeding and tell the officer, oh, I don't believe or follow speed limits and they say, well alright then, have a good one.
The sound of laughter sounds super eerie. Like an effects board. I'm not calling OP a faker but it does seem separated from the audio track in the video.
Also when you go back OP, please find out what the fuck that is in the sink? It looks like glass, and that would make sense. I can't help but think back to when I was really young and I was exploring on my parents property (rural Australia). There was this old bombed out caravan very similar to the one in your video, and I particularly remember this odd gelatinous/glassy looking substance in what looked like an old foam meat tray. It looks extremely similar to what is in the sink in your image, which piques my interest.
Best of luck with your hunting, and I hope you are safe.
Can we get someone to analyze this?
When I first watched something didn't seem right and the more I watch it in 1280 the more I'm starting to see a white head or face looking at the camera. It's hard to explain where is positioned but usually it's around the centre of the screen.
>an acreage on a quarter of land
What country are you from? This is non-sense. You own 1/4 of an acre? That's a tiny amount of land.
1/8 of the land you own is woodland or 1/8 of the acre?
You own an innumerable amount of acreage on a 1/4 of all land, and half of that is wooded?
Not really trying to be a dick, but just trying to see what amount of land we're talking about? You're not going to have a samsquantch living under some trees in your back yard. You wont come across a hermit in 1/8 of an acre, nor would you find it if you searched over 1/4 of dry land on earth. See what I'm saying?
Based on your description so far, my best guess is that you have a bird and a nest that the bird made where the bird hangs out in the tree.
Also, I'm a farmer in the US, I guess I never really considered what units that plebians measure amounts of land in.
And still, what the fuck is meant by "an acreage." There's 160, does OP have 160 acres consisting of an acreage or does he consider 1 acre 'AN' acreage.
It could be a Grey. Especially if OP lives in a rural area. Haven't heard the laughs, but if the people who have think they don't sound "human", it could be. Be cautious, OP.
Also, let's not let this thread die. It's quite interesting compared to the other stuff on /x/ at the moment.
