Could anyone tell me if these infected files are actually of any real threat to my laptop, or if this is just windows being windows and detecting files that are perfectly fine/harmless? I'm pretty sure if I had that many my laptop would fail to even boot up. I did have avira antivirus installed but I uninstalled it recently as it kept detecting harmless visual novel files as viruses/malware and giving me pop up reports about it every 5 seconds making everything crash.

This is how you spot a torrenting retard

I never torrented any of them, I downloaded them in parts.

it's not uncommon for an antivirus program to think cracked games are malware tho.
we're at 3,706 now
it detected all of my visual novel engines (tyano, novelty, renpy) as 'malware'...

Check the results, perhaps the program only reports the engines because they can run python scripts.
