My university resnet "quarantined" my computer (blocked internet access)and said it was infected with malware/trojan pushdo; how do I get rid of it without reformatting(I dont have win7 installation disc here)? Will running rkill and malwarebytes in safemode w/ rootkits scan on be enough?

malwarebytes.org I used it to disinfect dozens of computers. Depending on the infection you may have to change the destination folder and/or executable file name to install the program, because it works so well that some malware is specifically written to try to block its install.
